AI Transformation Consultant
Our AI Strategy & Transformation team sits at the forefront of one of the biggest shifts in healthcare today: helping organizations unlock the value of Artificial Intelligence. We work with senior executives to define AI strategies, identify high-value use cases, design operating models, and drive enterprise-wide adoption of AI technologies that create measurable business impact.

What you'll do

• Lead client engagements at the intersection of AI, strategy and healthcare, helping pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare organisations unlock measurable value from AI and Generative AI.
• Own client workstreams end to end, acting as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear AI strategies, transformation roadmaps and value cases.
• Structure and pressure-test market, technology and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
• Synthesise complex analysis into clear, executive-ready recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Design enterprise AI operating models, governance frameworks and responsible AI programmes.
• Guide clients through AI implementation, adoption and value realisation, moving from strategy into practical execution.
• Partner with data scientists, machine learning engineers and technology teams to ensure technical solutions align with commercial objectives and can scale effectively.
• Manage scope, timelines, risks and quality across multiple client engagements.
• Coach and develop Associates and Associate Consultants, providing direction and support across project teams.
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership, helping grow ZS's AI capabilities and client relationships.
• Help shape the future of AI in healthcare, identifying emerging opportunities and supporting the continued development of ZS's AI practice.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, analytics, digital transformation or AI-related roles, including a track record of leading workstreams and owning client relationships (or related experience).
• A Master's or PhD in a quantitative, scientific or data-oriented discipline (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Life Sciences) is preferred; a strong data-science or AI orientation is more important than a specific degree.
• Demonstrated ability to work at the intersection of AI, business strategy and healthcare - translating AI and Generative AI capability into commercial value across research, commercial and operational functions.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), automation and advanced analytics, and a genuine enthusiasm for adopting emerging technologies in your work.
• Exceptional unstructured problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior audiences.
• Strong project-management, communication and stakeholder-influencing skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts credibly to non-technical executives.
• Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or medical technology is highly desirable.
