As we continue to expand our platform and evolve how we drive growth, we’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager (Product) to lead the development and scaling of Checkatrade’s advertising proposition.

This role sits right at the intersection of product, strategy and commercial execution - giving you a unique opportunity to shape how advertising works within our ecosystem and unlock entirely new revenue streams.

Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Shape and grow our advertising offering. Spot what’s working, uncover new opportunities, and help define where we go next.

  • Turn ideas into real products and features. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams to bring them to life.

  • Use data to guide decisions. From performance and user behaviour to market trends, you’ll help decide where we invest next.

  • Connect teams across the business. You’ll bring engineers, designers, sales and commercial teams together to keep things moving.

  • Test, learn, improve, repeat. Whether it’s pricing, positioning or new formats, you’ll experiment constantly and move quickly.

  • Build a new growth area for Checkatrade. This is more than optimisation. You’ll help shape a key part of our future business.

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Experience in product, strategy, operations, or a similar role. Experience in consulting, ad tech or marketplaces is a plus.

  • Strategic thinking with a practical streak. You can spot opportunities and turn them into clear next steps.

  • Confidence with data. You’re comfortable analysing performance, running experiments, and using insights to guide decisions.

  • Collaborative by nature. You work well with product, engineering and commercial teams to get things moving.

  • Strong problem-solving skills. You can bring structure to messy challenges and make complex things feel simple.

  • Clear communicator. You can explain your thinking, influence decisions, and bring others with you.

  • Proactive and hands-on. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and happy making decisions at pace.

We believe great work deserves great rewards. Here’s just a taste:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus or commission (role dependent)

  • Employee Share Program

  • Health, well-being and learning support

  • Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme and Cycle Scheme

  • Birthday/Special day leave

  • Buy & sell holiday scheme

  • 1 week’s paid charity leave and much more!

How we’ll get to know each other:

  • Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners

  • 1st stage interview with our Head of Product and Operations (Media)

  • 2nd stage interview includes a case study presentation with the Principal Product Manager, VP of Bookings, Directories & Media and our Head of Product & Operations (Media)

If you require any reasonable adjustments during our interview process, please discuss them with your Talent Acquisition Partner.

If this sounds like the place where you can do your best work, we’d love to hear from you, even if you don’t tick every box
