As we continue to expand our platform and evolve how we drive growth, we’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager (Product) to lead the development and scaling of Checkatrade’s advertising proposition.

This role sits right at the intersection of product, strategy and commercial execution - giving you a unique opportunity to shape how advertising works within our ecosystem and unlock entirely new revenue streams.

Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on:

  • Shape and grow our advertising offering. Spot what’s working, uncover new opportunities, and help define where we go next.

  • Turn ideas into real products and features. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams to bring them to life.

  • Use data to guide decisions. From performance and user behaviour to market trends, you’ll help decide where we invest next.

  • Connect teams across the business. You’ll bring engineers, designers, sales and commercial teams together to keep things moving.

  • Test, learn, improve, repeat. Whether it’s pricing, positioning or new formats, you’ll experiment constantly and move quickly.

  • Build a new growth area for Checkatrade. This is more than optimisation. You’ll help shape a key part of our future business.

It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring:

  • Experience in product, strategy, operations, or a similar role. Experience in consulting, ad tech or marketplaces is a plus.

  • Strategic thinking with a practical streak. You can spot opportunities and turn them into clear next steps.

  • Confidence with data. You’re comfortable analysing performance, running experiments, and using insights to guide decisions.

  • Collaborative by nature. You work well with product, engineering and commercial teams to get things moving.

  • Strong problem-solving skills. You can bring structure to messy challenges and make complex things feel simple.

  • Clear communicator. You can explain your thinking, influence decisions, and bring others with you.

  • Proactive and hands-on. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and happy making decisions at pace.
