Smyle’s strategy team is growing. As a Strategist, you will bring proven experience conducting robust research, uncovering insights, and collaborating with multiple teams to deliver strategic and creative ideas that address a variety of client challenges. 

Your audience, brand and cultural understanding will form the foundation of our omnichannel and experiential marketing solutions, and act as a springboard for innovative problem solving. We’re looking for somebody who seamlessly combines left-brain logic with right-brain ingenuity, and isn’t afraid to dive into the data for insights that really inspire. 

Working across multiple brands within the Smyle group, this is an ideal opportunity for a Strategist who's hungry to learn whilst embracing project ownership. Collaborating with Senior Strategists, Creative teams and agency leadership, you'll gain varied, fast-paced exposure to a broad range of projects, supercharging your professional development. Together, we’ll make creative work that is effective, innovative and that clients love.

Key Accountabilities

  • Interpret, interrogate, and, when appropriate, challenge client briefs
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify shed new light on client challenges and opportunities
  • Translate findings into credible and compelling insights, unlocking creative solutions aligned with client and audience objectives
  • Craft clear, thoughtful creative briefs and demonstrate expertise in a variety of strategic frameworks and approaches
  • Contribute to creative ideation, and deliver strategic guidance to actively steer creative and conceptual development across experiential and omnichannel projects
  • Collaborating to develop brilliant pitches and presentations which sell-in strategic solutions
  • Producing topical marketing audits, industry reviews, and research reports for clients and internal teams
  • Proactively follow and report on global experiential and marketing trends across B2B, B2C, internal communications, social media, and other channels
  • Promote a strategic approach to problem-solving throughout the agency
  • All other duties appropriate to the role

Skills & Experience

  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Great at research, both qualitative and quantitative, as well as first and third-hand
  • Able to translate and communicate findings into thorough reports and informed insights - recognising the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’
  • Equally adept at working in teams and independently, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability for assigned projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts effectively
  • Highly strategic thinker with strong attention to detail 
  • Culturally and commercially savvy, with a keen interest in social trends, marketing, experiential, and brand innovations
  • Background in advertising and experience with social media strategy is a plus
