Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Cyera is seeking a Strategic Engagement Director to lead one of our largest and most strategic customer relationships within the UK financial services sector.

This role is designed for an experienced security, data, or transformation leader who can operate credibly with executive stakeholders while driving complex enterprise-wide data security programs. As the strategic owner of the customer engagement, you will guide the organisation from deployment through long-term adoption, maturity, and value realization, helping establish and execute a comprehensive Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Data Security strategy.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Security, Risk, Compliance, Data, and Technology functions. Success in this role requires more than program management—it requires leadership. You will bring a clear point of view, influence key decisions, align diverse stakeholders, and help customers navigate complex organisational and technical change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership

  • Act as the executive-facing leader for Cyera's engagement with a major UK financial services institution.
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, Chief Data Officers, Risk and Compliance leaders, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Guide customers through their data security journey, helping define strategy, priorities, operating models, and success measures.
  • Lead executive steering committees, strategic reviews, and outcome-focused planning sessions.
  • Bring a strong point of view, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation.

Program Ownership & Delivery

  • Own the overall success of the customer's Cyera program and strategic roadmap.
  • Orchestrate all Cyera teams involved in the engagement, including Customer Success Engineering, Managed Services, Deployment, Professional Services, Support, Product, and Sales.
  • Align customer and Cyera stakeholders around shared objectives, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive program governance, risk management, executive communications, and successful execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure customers continue to progress through adoption, maturity, and value realization milestones.

Value Realisation & Growth

  • Ensure customers achieve measurable business, operational, and security outcomes from their investment in Cyera.
  • Help customers expand and mature their DSPM and broader Data Security programs.
  • Identify opportunities to extend Cyera's impact across additional business units, use cases, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership to support long-term account growth, renewals, and expansion opportunities.

Product & R&D Partnership

  • Act as the voice of the customer within Cyera.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and R&D teams to advocate for customer requirements and influence product direction.
  • Align customer priorities with Cyera's roadmap and facilitate productive discussions around future capabilities and strategic requirements.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Significant experience leading enterprise security, data, risk, transformation, or technology programs within large regulated organisations.
  • Strong understanding of Data Security, DSPM, Data Governance, Data Risk Management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders in complex enterprise environments, ideally within financial services.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to influence, persuade, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to lead large cross-functional programs and coordinate multiple teams toward shared outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with disciplined execution in fast-paced environments.
