Job Description

At Legal & General, we’re committed to helping people achieve greater financial security and confidence in later life. We’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Retail Annuities team, where you’ll play a key role in growing and strengthening relationships with some of our most important strategic partners. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a dynamic intermediary market, developing long-term partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and driving sustainable business growth while delivering positive outcomes for customers.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Driving growth across a portfolio of strategic partners, intermediary networks and service providers
    • Developing and executing strategic account plans that identify opportunities, risks and success measures
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts and the wider industry
    • Collaborating with the Intermediary Sales team to create and implement effective business and contact strategies
    • Analysing Salesforce data, management information and performance dashboards to identify opportunities and measure success
    • Partnering with colleagues across Marketing, Product, Operations, Risk, Asset Management and other business areas to achieve shared objectives
    • Monitoring distribution activity to support Consumer Duty requirements and ensure alignment with target market strategies
    • Delivering presentations, training sessions and business development initiatives to support partners and colleagues

    Who we're looking for:

    • Experience in a field-based business development, account management or strategic partnership role
    • Strong understanding of the retirement market, intermediary sector, service providers and professional bodies
    • Proven ability to develop commercially successful relationships and deliver sustainable business growth
    • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Strong analytical skills with experience using management information and CRM systems to drive decision-making
    • Commercially aware with the ability to identify opportunities and develop practical solutions
    • Degree-level education, relevant industry experience, and ideally a Level 4 Diploma qualification or equivalent market knowledge
