Storeperson – 5 days a week (40 hr) 

Location: British Airways plc (Waterside), Harmondsworth, West Drayton UB7 0GA
Rate of pay: £14.00ph
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days) MONDAY-FRIDAY

Job Description

Role Purpose

The Storeperson is responsible for the effective control, storage, and distribution of all stock across the site. This role ensures accurate stock levels, timely supply to coffee bars and restaurants, strong supplier relationships, and full compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a stock control, storeman, or warehouse role (hospitality or contract catering preferred).

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Basic IT skills (stock systems, spreadsheets, email).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Control & Inventory

  • Receive, check, and store all deliveries in line with company standards.

  • Maintain accurate stock records, including regular stock counts and inventory checks.

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, over-stocking, or discrepancies.

  • Ensure correct storage, labelling, date rotation, and FIFO procedures at all times.

Requisition & Distribution

  • Supply all coffee bars, restaurants, and service areas with stock as per requisitions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate issuing of stock to operational teams.

  • Maintain par levels to support smooth daily operations.

Supplier & Administration Duties

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and delivery drivers.

  • Check delivery notes and invoices, reporting discrepancies where required.

  • Complete and update invoice trackers and stock control documentation.

Vending & Equipment Support

  • Oversee stock supply for vending machines and ensure products are replenished.

  • Report maintenance or stock issues related to vending equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all storage areas comply with health & safety and food hygiene standards.

  • Maintain clean, organised, and safe storage environments.

  • Support site compliance with BaxterStorey policies and procedures.

General Duties

  • Support operational needs as directed by the Manager on Duty.

  • Assist with additional site tasks where required to support the wider team.
