ABOUT US

We’re the world’s leading provider of secure financial messaging services, headquartered in Belgium. We are the way the world moves value – across borders, through cities and overseas. No other organisation can address the scale, precision, pace and trust that this demands, and we’re proud to support the global economy.

We’re unique too. We were established to find a better way for the global financial community to move value – a reliable, safe and secure approach that the community can trust, completely. We’re always striving to be better and are constantly evolving in an ever-changing landscape, without undermining that trust. Five decades on, our vibrant community reflects the complexity and diversity of the financial ecosystem. We innovate diligently, test exhaustively, then implement fast. In a connected and exciting era, our mission has never been more relevant. Swift now has a presence in 200+ countries and legal territories to serve a community of more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions.

As part of your application, please explain in fewer than 300 words: One reason an international standard is important to Swift's mission?

    Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious self-starter who enjoys solving problems, working with data, organising complex activities and turning ideas into tangible outcomes.

The internship provides the opportunity to contribute directly to both product management and go-to-market activities. You will support key initiatives across the team while also owning specific deliverables.

      Responsibilities may include:

      • Product Management & Go-to-Market Support
        • Support product planning, documentation and coordination – putting to practice practical product management methodologies.
        • Support in coordinating the new feature launches and market initiatives across stakeholders.
      • Product Marketing & Collateral Management
        • Create and maintain product collateral, messaging and value propositions.
        • Ensure product information is accurate, consistent and accessible.
      • Product Strategy and Market Analysis
        • Analyse market, customer and product data to identify adoption opportunities. Deliver insights and reporting to inform product decisions – for example managing KPI monitoring.
        • Support engagement and analysis to inform the future strategy and evolution of Swift’s Standards approach.

      What You Will Learn

During the internship you will gain exposure to:

      • Product Management fundamentals; including Product Go-to-Market, Product Marketing and value proposition development.
      • Financial services, payments and industry standards. Market analysis and business intelligence.
      • Stakeholder management in a global organisation. Executive communication, reporting and presentation skills.

      Requirements & Skills

      • Education

We expect that you will have (or are expecting) a 2:1 degree or equivalent. However, we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate relevant skills, enthusiasm and experience.

      • Experience

This internship is typically suited to candidates with limited professional experience who are looking to gain hands-on exposure to product management, product marketing or business analysis.

      • Technical Skills
        • Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
        • Strong research and analytical skills. Data is a positive.
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
        • Fluent English (written and spoken).
        • Awareness of Swift, Standards and the financial services industry is beneficial but not essential.
      • Personal Qualities
        • Curious and eager to learn. Proactive self-starter.
        • Organised and detail-oriented. Comfortable managing multiple activities simultaneously.
        • Strong team player.
        • Creative thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
      • What We Offer
        • Real-world experience in product management and go-to-market execution.
        • Direct exposure to industry experts and senior stakeholders.
        • Opportunities to own deliverables and contribute meaningful work.
        • Professional development and training.
        • A collaborative and supportive international team environment.
        • Experience at the centre of the global financial industry.

      What we offer

We give you the freedom to be yourself. We are creating an environment of unique individuals – like you – with different perspectives on the financial industry and the world. A diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone’s voice counts and where you can reach your full potential.

We are committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. If you require a reasonable accommodation related to accessibility during your application or interview, please contact [email protected] or indicate this in your application.
