Staff Product Designer:

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join the Business Chapter and help shape the experience of the Wise Business product.

You’ll work closely with product managers, content designers, researchers, engineers and analysts to integrate Wise into our customer’s day-to-day financial workflows, helping them send and receive money globally while minimising financial admin and manual bookkeeping.

Our business customers are often not just one person. You’ll be designing experiences that need to work for different users across shared workflows; whether it’s Business Owners, Finance Managers, Employees, Accountants or a combination.
 

Here’s how you’ll contribute:

How can we make it easy for small businesses to manage the financial complexity of working globally? How can we integrate with their other financial tools to reduce manual bookkeeping so they spend less time on admin? How can we support a business owner to safely delegate financial tasks while maintaining control? These are some of the challenges you’ll get a chance to work on in this role.

You will work as the product designer within a team in the Business Account Management Squad, reporting into the Group Design Lead. As well as working closely with the other members of your team, you will collaborate with designers across Wise to deliver consistent, scalable experiences. You will also mentor other designers in your squad.

Your work will focus on deepening use of the product and building trust with our business customers so that Wise becomes their everyday account. 
 

Here's how you'll be contributing:

• Owning design problems in your team and working through the detail to create solutions that balance the need to design ahead with delivering incremental value.

• Building a deep understanding of the unmet needs of business users and how the Wise experience can solve for those.

• Shaping the now, next and future state of the experience, and holding the work to the outcomes we've committed to.

• Bringing systems thinking to your work and collaborating with other teams to ensure we create one coherent experience.

• Building vision with substance through evidence backed direction that shapes the roadmap.

• Raising the standard around you, through feedback, crits and skill shares, and lifting the quality of design across the squad.

• Using AI in your daily practice where it earns its place, and showing the team what that looks like.
   

This role will give you the opportunity to:

About you:

• You've been the most senior designer on a complex product area, owning ambiguous problems end to end. The title matters less than the scope.

• You think in systems. You've designed something that had to work across many markets, formats or edge cases without fragmenting into special cases.

• You practise evidence-based design, using data and customer insights to rationalise your decisions clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders.

• You’ve got a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work that solves real, complex problems for real people.

• You default to prototyping, explore multiple approaches, and articulate the tradeoffs clearly enough to build conviction with senior stakeholders.

• You have a high craft bar and strong visual skills, and you've worked with design systems to produce work that scales.

• You make the designers around you better. You design in the open, give direct feedback, and share credit.

• You're already using AI tools in your practice and have a point of view on where they help and where they don't.
