Key Responsibilities
- Lead network infrastructure design, implementation, support, and improvement across corporate, regulated, and secure environments.
- Own the design, delivery, support, and continual improvement of LAN, WAN, wireless, remote access, endpoint, and associated infrastructure services.
- Reduce technical debt through modernising of infrastructure, improving resilience, and simplifying support models.
- Own the infrastructure lifecycle roadmap, include refresh planning, upgrades, and site deployments.
- Own the governance, planning, assurance of patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure change across regulated UK environments in line with UK MoD and NSCS standards.
- Develop a team across infrastructure, networks and End User Services (EUS) teams, setting clear standards for service quality, ownership and accountability.
- Coordinate major infrastructure changes, upgrades and site deployments with minimal disruption to engineering, manufacturing, and business operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, resilience, security and user experience.
- Promote high standards of quality, ownership, and accountability, including flexibility to work out-of-hours when required to protect business operations.
- Act as a senior responsible person for network, infrastructure, and end-user technology services, ensuring alignment between business priorities, cyber security obligations, corporate standards and operational delivery.
- Promote cross-team visibility of planned work and its broader impact, fostering collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements for better user experience as part of the UK regulatory environment.
- Explain difficult or sensitive service, risk, and technical issues to business stakeholders, using clear evidence and recommendations to support decision making.
- Collaborate with the global and regional CTO teams
Qualifications/Requirements
- Significant experience leading and managing similar teams in secure environments.
- Proven experience managing, LAN, WAN, wireless, and compute estates.
- Proven ability to lead support teams in regulated and secure environments.
- Relevant professional certifications are desirable, such as ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft, Fortinet, VMware, Azure, or security accreditations.
