About the Role:

Remitly is looking for an analytical and product-oriented Senior Data Scientist & Product Analyst to help shape the future of our customer experiences and product strategy. You will sit at the intersection of product, data, engineering, and business teams, translating data into actionable insights that drive growth, customer value, and operational excellence. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys moving between strategic thinking and hands-on analysis while helping establish a strong analytics culture in a growing fintech organization.

You will be responsible for designing and evaluating experiments, investigating product performance, and identifying root causes behind key business outcomes. Additionally, you will influence product roadmaps and help build a scalable data foundation that enables data-driven decision making across the organization. As AI capabilities rapidly evolve, you will also help identify, evaluate, and drive adoption of AI-powered analytics and decision-support capabilities.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3+ days a week working from our Seattle, WA HQ.

You Will:

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business leaders to define success metrics, shape roadmap decisions, and serve as a trusted thought partner on data-driven strategy.
  • Generate insights that surface customer needs, growth opportunities, friction points, and emerging trends — and translate findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and experimentation frameworks, defining guardrails, statistical methodologies, and best practices that scale across product teams.
  • Lead deep-dive investigations into shifts in business, customer, and product performance — identifying root causes and validating hypotheses with cross-functional partners.
  • Build analytical frameworks that proactively detect anomalies, risks, and trends before they become problems.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Data Science, Decision Science, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with large-scale datasets.
  • Experience designing, executing, and analyzing experiments and A/B tests.
  • Proven track record influencing product decisions through data-driven insights.
  • Proven experience with analytical problem-solving and root cause investigation skills.
  • Experience working with Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.
  • Experience with Analytics and BI / Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc).
