Overview

We are seeking a Solution Advisor – CPG to join our Supply Chain Advisory team. The Solution Advisor will demonstrate the value of Blue Yonder supply chain solutions to improve the business outcomes for our customers. The role will bring value to BY’s customers by defining the future state processes and solutions, ensuring alignment with customer’s processes, people and BY technology. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead high-quality solution discovery to clearly define customer pain points
  • Establish early value and build business cases linking technology to measurable outcomes
  • Advise on how solutions deliver new ways of working by incorporating operational knowledge and AI/ML & agentic approaches
  • Transform demos /POCs into outcome-driven stories that connect features to real-world impact
  • Build target state and transition state enterprise architectures for customers.
  • Work with Sales , Service Sales to build billable Advisory ‘attached’ pipeline
  • With Strategic Advisors stay on projects to blueprint the solution design, key design decisions
  • Provide ongoing design authority / governance through to business go live
  • Deliver Strategic Impact Assessments
  • Provide insights into roadmap requirements, competitive analysis & compelling solution content
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by offering strategic insights and practical Blue Yonder solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Ability to present additional solutions to current customers to solve their business needs.
  • Participate in customer engagements, discovery workshops, and design sessions, documenting requirements and assisting in solution blueprinting.
  • Provide foundational subject matter expertise across supply chain management, operations, and supporting technologies.
  • Conduct analysis and contribute to recommendations that align configuration decisions with operational and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with sales, consulting, and product teams to support customer adoption activities and ensure alignment during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Blue Yonder solutions, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers by delivering high-quality work and supporting their implementation journey.
  • Identify potential opportunities for enhancement or expansion and escalate observations to senior team members.

Key Skills

  • Ability to deliver Blue Yonder demo using business stories, business impact, and differentiation; can support tag changes and data uploads to support customer demos.
  • Ability to lead a blueprinting exercise.
  • Demonstrates in-depth solution functionality across one or many solutions; can tailor use cases to client priorities.
  • Skilled at connecting configuration decisions to operational and financial outcomes.
  • Skilled in linking technology design to business KPIs.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor in process transformation discussions; guides customers through workflows, ensures alignment to reference architectures, and supports design authority governance during implementations.
  • Maintains competitive differentiation knowledge and can effectively position Blue Yonder as a market leader.
  • Know how to deploy and configure SaaS solutions; understand change management impacts, how to operate the solutions, integration points, customisation options, and project lifecycle (discovery and design to go-live and post-deployment support).
  • Understands technical architecture, APIs, and integration strategy within the broader enterprise ecosystem.
  • Ability to align data flows, interoperability, and system design to ensure scalability.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in a customer-facing supply chain solution advisor or consultative sales role into CPG customers.
  • Foundational understanding of supply chain domains such as forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, S&OP/IBP
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate supply chain concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering quality and value.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder solutions is advantageous.
