Job Title: Software Development Team Leader

Role Description         

We are seeking a Software Development Team Leader with a strong focus on developing production-grade software, extensive experience with Azure services, and proficiency in Java, Python, PySpark. You will manage a team and collaborate with a third-party vendor to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Owning the development team in design, development, coding, testing.
  • Managing all the activities of the software development team and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Keep up to date with the latest development software.
  • Hire and train new developers.
  • Provide mentorship to the team and ensure they enforce to development standards.
  • Ensure adequate documentation exists.
  • Build alliance and work with other partner pillars within Kantar for a shared goal.
  • Direct team of 4 people and vendor team of 15-20.

Required

Essential:

  • Experience in the data processing applications
  • Practical production experience in software implementation
  • Experience working with high-level sophisticated problem definition using algorithms.
  • Experience working in a distributed team.
  • Background in software development or in a hands-on technical role 
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and collaborating with third-party vendors.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Desirable:

  • Spark data processing
  • Cloud technologies – Azure, DataBricks, Kubernetes
  • Software Architectural skills
  • DevOps
  • Agile / Scrum certified.
  • Strong understanding of data security, including encryption/decryption
