Your role will be within the Digital & Social Media field in the Corporate Marketing team, part of the One Samsung division.
You will act as a champion for the ‘One Samsung’ social media strategy that supports our business divisions including Mobile Experience, TV, Display, Digital Appliances, Brand Marketing, D2C (Direct to Consumer) and CSR teams!
The team’s goal is to make @SamsungUK channels an outstanding destination to experience our brand, culture and products through distinctive content that engages with our audiences and their passion points. This will include:
• Telling a One Samsung story – bringing to life the brand story and benefits of our Samsung ecosystem across Mobile Experience, Visual Display and Digital Appliances
• Cultural resonance – applying a culture-first lens to every piece of content posted on our social channels
• Immersive storytelling – taking our content to the next level by using immersive formats to bring our product stories to life
• Social commerce – pushing opportunities for lower funnel conversion through social commerce
• Reaching and engaging audiences at scale through influencer and partner content

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

This role will be key to ensuring gold-standard Local, social-first activity and content plans, whilst also managing delivery of Global content

  • Build Social Media concepts (responsible for the strategic approach, plan development and execution, and setting critical metrics / tracking return on investment) and secure agreement from Leadership team

  • Develop Social Media campaigns that cut through

  • Create the content calendar across campaigns and proactive calendar moments

  • Track and map cultural and social micro trends to create reactive moments for @SamsungUK to engage with our audience

  • Develop customer-first content and local community activities to drive engagement

  • Deep understanding of existing and emerging platforms and how we can demonstrate insights to enhance our social media approach

  • Have excitement for and share emerging trends and platform insights

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge of Social Media landscape; including audience behaviours, platforms and influencers

  • A passion for cultural trends and conversations

  • Acute understanding of what ‘best-in-class’ measurement looks like and social listening that clearly demonstrates business impact

  • Fantastic communication skills – you will need to establish relationships both with your agency and internal partners, including Senior business representatives

  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, at pace

  • Energy, creativity and passion!

What does success look like?

Acting as a guardian across our social platforms – you will be responsible for a consistent look and feel, as well as ensuring all content is delivered to its relevant platform and audience, on time.

You will prove seamless development of the content calendar across launches and cultural moments, supporting across the business -leading approvals and being a social-first voice, offering creative consults on content from multiple sources

You will always be ‘ahead’, providing timely updates on content and project progress and delivering coordinated plans whilst building a strong network with various teams – Finance, Legal, PR, Retail – and ensure timely process tracking, project development and approvals
