Make an Impact at RSM UK

We’re looking for a creative and commercially minded social media manager to lead our firm’s social media strategy.

This is an exciting role for someone who’s passionate about social platforms, creative content and communications, with the enthusiasm and knowledge to grow engaged audiences and drive measurable commercial results through strategic channel execution.

You’ll be responsible for defining our organic and paid social strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram and the wider channel mix, building the profile of our brand and our people and contributing to how visible and findable we are in search and AI assistants.

This is also a role that brings social media back in house. Activity that currently sits with an external agency moves to you, so alongside setting the strategy you’ll be building out the day-to-day workflow to run it from within the Creative and Communications team.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading the strategic planning, development and delivery of our social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram and any other channels needed to reach our audiences, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and brand standards

  • Leading the transition of social media from agency to in house, taking ownership of our channels, tools, data and historical performance, and keeping momentum through the handover

  • Building and running the in-house workflow for social, from briefing and content production through to approvals, scheduling, publishing and community management, so we can move at the speed the channels demand without losing control of quality or brand

  • Owning the social content calendar, balancing brand, campaign, recruitment and thought leadership activity across the channel mix and across the year

  • Managing our paid social, briefing campaigns, agreeing audiences and budgets, challenging performance and ensuring paid activity works hard alongside organic, drawing on specialist partners where it makes sense to

  • Growing the personal profiles of our senior leaders on LinkedIn and develop an employee advocacy programme that extends our reach through our people

What we are looking for:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Professional experience of managing social media for a large, multi-audience organisation, spanning both organic strategy and paid campaign delivery

  • A track record of growing engaged audiences and delivering significant, measurable results on LinkedIn, with practical experience of Instagram and other relevant channels

  • Experience of running social in house with the ability to build collaborative ways of working from scratch

  • Comfortable being hands on. This is a role that sets the strategy and then delivers it, from planning the campaign to writing the post, cutting the video and engaging with the community

  • Excellent creative communication, project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to articulate complex digital ideas to non-technical audiences and to coach senior leaders on their own presence.

  • Strong understanding of paid social buying, audience targeting and measurement, and how organic and paid work together

What we can offer you:

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

  • Hybrid and Flexible working

  • 27 Days Holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days)

  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.

  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse Talent Development team.
