THE·TEAM London seeks a Social Media Manager to join the Social & Influencer department to support on delivering scopes for an upcoming international Football tournament. We are a team full of people who genuinely care about doing great work. We’re a longstanding leader in the influencer and content space, having executed award-winning, global programs with some of the biggest brands in the world. We serve as problem solvers for our clients, helping them grow their business through content and campaigns consumers love.

The person in this role needs to have had proven experience within Social Media Management within an agency or brand side role for 2x years. They should have a solid understanding of the Social Media landscape across a range of social channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc.). This position will involve both elements of creative application and problem solving as well as diligent attention to detail across social content management, planning, scheduling and quality control.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is equally organised, and highly diligent, as well as creatively applied and passionate about meaninglyly connecting brands with their online audiences every day. The ideal candiate will have: a high level ability to communicate consistently and effectively, demonstrate core ability to translate brand TOV across social platforms to varying audiences, diligently handle all content scheduling and management according to content calendars, and proactively spot opportunities for proactive engagement and community management. They will also have proven experience working with brands in sports (ideally Football) and across in tournament activations across social media platforms.

This is a freelance role for one month. We require consistent availability during the UK late evenings from mid June until mid July.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage content and schedule/publish for client social media communities ensuring the highest quality control
  • Directly engage with consumers on client channels like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc.
  • Support account with content curation, distribution and engagement
  • Web and Social Listening for trending content, conversations, topics, events and news alongside suggestions for how client brands can authically tap into such moments or trends
  • Real-time Monitoring of social channels to identify strategic opportunities for proactive enagement and community management
  • Real-time monotiring of social channels to identify possible brand risk and flagging potential issues as and when they appear
  • Mentor junior-level staff which includes copy-editing content, polishing their client communication, and advising content and distribution strategy
  • Demonstrate an understanding of client brand TOV and overall social strategy to ascertain engagement opportunities based on strategy
  • Consistently track and stay on top of social channel capability updates, changes and features sharing recommendations for how we can utilise such updates within a brands social content activation

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of agency-side or brand experience developing social media creative, editing copy, and engaging with an audience
  • Proven experience activating social content at scale across multiple social platforms for brands during sports tournaments (ideally Football)
  • A Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Familiar with analytic tools such as Crimson Hexagon, Iconosquare, etc.
  • Familiar with native Facebook/Twitter/Instagram Insights + CMS tools like Sprinklr
  • Extensive knowledge of social media best practices, latest social channel capabilitites and rising trends and conversations within social media
  • Flawless spelling and grammar
  • High attention to detail and ability to quality control all content publishing and daily tasks
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Charm to build relationships (internally and with clients)
  • Innate curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Keynote, Slack, Dropbox, Microsoft Suite
