Here’s a summary of the role:

We’re looking for a creative, dynamic social media specialist who excels at B2B storytelling on social platforms, particularly LinkedIn. This role is about building and running YouGov’s organic social presence — creating content that feels timely, relevant, and genuinely worth following.

You’ll take ownership of our day-to-day organic activity, developing a practical strategy that drives consistency, responsiveness, and engagement. Working closely with content, editorial, creative, and marketing teams, you’ll transform YouGov’s research, campaigns, and expert insights into compelling social content across written and video formats.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

Own and Grow Our Organic Social Presence

  • Lead day-to-day management of organic social, with a LinkedIn-first focus and potential to expand to other channels

  • Develop a practical content plan aligned to campaigns, products, and brand activity

  • Collaborate with the paid social team to ensure organic and paid strategies complement and amplify each other

Turn Insight Into Engaging Social Content

  • Transform campaigns, reports, and editorial content into engaging social posts that resonate with B2B audiences

  • Translate complex research and ideas into clear, compelling, and shareable content

  • Support major brand and campaign moments with impactful social execution

Create Content That Stops the Scroll

  • Write strong copy and develop creative angles that perform in-feed

  • Produce and edit short-form video content where appropriate

  • Work with the creative team to develop visual and video assets

  • Identify and develop internal spokespeople who can represent YouGov on social channels

Drive Agility and Relevance

  • Partner with the editorial team to identify opportunities tied to news cycles, industry conversations, and cultural moments

  • React quickly to relevant trends while maintaining accuracy and brand integrity

  • Help evolve YouGov’s tone and presence on LinkedIn to feel more confident, distinctive, and engaging

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

  • Around 4+ years’ experience in organic social media, ideally within a B2B environment

  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to make complex ideas clear and engaging

  • Strong editorial judgement and understanding of what works on social platforms

  • Experience managing social activity end-to-end — from planning and content creation to publishing and optimisation

  • Deep understanding of LinkedIn as a channel, including the formats and approaches that drive engagement

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with content, editorial, marketing, and campaign teams

  • Experience shooting and editing video content (desirable)
