As a Services Account Executive in our Services Sales team, you put the customer at the centre of every decision, shaping how services create measurable value for UK Public Sector customers, with a focus on Local Public Services. You act as a trusted advisor, guiding organisations to unlock the full potential of Microsoft Services and achieve meaningful business outcomes while building long-term, trust-based relationships.

In this role, you proactively sell the end-to-end services portfolio, from delivering core value through Unified Support to accelerating impact with Enhanced Solutions and driving transformational change through Microsoft Consulting. You work closely with customers to understand their strategic goals, co-create tailored service solutions, and help them realise their ambitions. You collaborate across account, specialist, delivery, and customer success teams to align diverse priorities, shape strategic opportunities that leverage artificial intelligence and innovative cloud capabilities and grow Microsoft cloud consumption.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Services Sales account vision and strategic approach, providing insights and recommendations that address immediate and longer-term customer priorities while contributing to a cohesive Microsoft account strategy.
  • Build and maintain deep customer relationships as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders on the right mix of services, setting clear expectations on delivery, and driving customer satisfaction and Unified renewals.
  • Lead customer sales, value proposition and compete discussions. Actively listen to customers, understand their vision, and align solutions to meet their needs through consultative selling and subsequent delivery engagements. Ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
  • Orchestrate the Services sales relationship with the core account team, coordinating across account, specialist, partner, and customer success roles to bring the right resources together and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Proactively develop deep knowledge of customer business priorities, industry trends, and regulatory landscape, and use this insight to shape intentional customer conversations, position advanced cloud and artificial intelligence solutions, and drive adoption and consumption.
  • Deliver operational deal excellence by managing collaboration time effectively and applying effective qualification criteria.
  • Own the sales cycle from account planning, new pipeline generation through to deal closure and subsequent expansion opportunities. ensuring efficient pre-sales processes and driving cloud consumption.
  • Maintain operational excellence & orchestration in demand generation, pipeline management and execution.
  • Be deliberate about self-development to more effectively drive solution level discussions to address customer’s business needs. Ensure knowledge depth across the whole Microsoft Services portfolio.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with relevant consultative sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. finance, local government), or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or a related field, with extensive consultative sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. finance, local government), or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.

Services Account Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 95,300.00 - £ 136,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
