Job Description

Position Summary: 

The Senior Visual Designer, reporting to the Associate Creative Director (ACD), Design, will be responsible for helping to ensure continuity and design integrity of the user interface, branding, visual appearance and creative execution of global marketing materials and activities such as ecommerce web pages, emails, digital display advertising, mobile design, catalogs, flyers, datasheets brochures and more. The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for leading and bringing design solutions to life by leveraging established design systems and working within our creative processes to create compelling customer experiences across digital and traditional projects including our global websites. This position will also be responsible for creating and elevating conceptual digital and traditional experiences as well as informative customer and user experiences (CX/UX) with best practices in mind. The Senior Visual Designer will interface with cross-functional teams, to meet and exceed deliverable expectations as well as ensure adherence to timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the creative execution of complex marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels, translating business objectives into compelling, user-centered design solutions that align with brand standards and deliver measurable results. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Creative Director and cross-functional partners to help shape creative concepts, campaign direction, and design solutions from ideation through final delivery. 
  • Push creative excellence by developing innovative concepts, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and production-ready assets that elevate the quality and effectiveness of marketing communications. 
  • Serve as a creative go-to on assigned projects by providing design direction, offering constructive feedback, and helping ensure creative consistency across campaigns and deliverables. 
  • Mentor and support Associate Visual Designers and Visual Designers by sharing best practices, providing thoughtful design feedback, and encouraging continued professional growth. 
  • Present creative concepts, design rationale, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders with confidence, effectively communicating ideas while building alignment and influencing decision-making. 
  • Collaborate with marketing operations, deployment teams, developers, copywriters, and UX/UI partners to ensure creative solutions are technically feasible, optimized for their intended channels, and successfully executed. 
  • Design and produce high-quality marketing materials across digital and traditional channels, including but not limited to digital advertising, landing pages, websites, emails, social media, presentations, print collateral, catalogs, packaging, and reusable templates. 
  • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of brand standards, design systems, and creative best practices by identifying opportunities to improve consistency, usability, and overall design quality. 
  • Ensure all creative work maintains exceptional visual quality, production accuracy, and adherence to brand standards while balancing multiple priorities and meeting aggressive deadlines. 
  • Organize and maintain design files, templates, and creative assets to support efficient collaboration and scalable production workflows. 
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Artificial Intelligence tools, proactively identifying opportunities to improve creative quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 

Experience
 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience. 
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in a creative environment within a corporation, in-house creative team, or agency. 
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative thinking and execution across digital and print experiences. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, with expertise in crafting compelling presentation narratives and visually engaging executive-level storytelling) and design/prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Experience leading the design of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels from concept through production. 
  • Experience designing responsive digital experiences across desktop and mobile platforms with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. 
  • Experience utilizing and integrating AI-powered creative tools into design workflows to improve quality, efficiency, and innovation. 
  • Experience preparing production-ready files for both digital and print applications, with working knowledge of print production processes. 
  • Experience presenting creative concepts and design rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including creative, marketing, UX/UI, project management, merchandising, and development partners. 
  • Experience providing informal mentorship, creative guidance, or project leadership to other designers is preferred.
     

Knowledge
 

  • Advanced knowledge of visual design principles, typography, layout, color theory, branding, composition, and information hierarchy. 
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive web design, accessibility standards, current UI/UX patterns, and emerging digital design trends. 
  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing best practices and designing for multiple customer touchpoints and communication channels. 
  • Knowledge of creative strategy, campaign development, brand systems, and maintaining consistency across integrated marketing initiatives. 
  • Working knowledge of project planning and collaboration tools including Workfront, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and similar platforms. 
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a practical understanding of web capabilities and development considerations. 
  • Ability to quickly evaluate and adopt new creative technologies, workflows, and AI tools.

  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to confidently communicate and defend creative decisions to stakeholders. 
  • Ability to influence conversations, build alignment, and gain buy-in through thoughtful creative rationale and effective collaboration. 
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support less experienced designers through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing. 
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build productive working relationships across creative, marketing, product, and business teams. 
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving creative outcomes. 
  • Strong empathy for end users with the ability to balance user needs, brand standards, and business objectives. 
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
