Senior UK Equity Analyst - - London

This is a great job for an experienced UK Equities Analyst to join the research function of one of the leading equities franchises.

A bit about the job:

We are seeking a highly experienced equity analyst to join our UK Equity analyst team in London as a Senior Analyst. This pivotal role requires the successful candidate to work closely with fund managers on our UK equities and sustainable mandates, while also playing a crucial part in elevating the standards within the team and serving as a role model for others.

As a Senior Analyst, you will be an integral member of the Global Equity team at Aviva Investors, where we prioritize ESG. Our global sustainable equity capability is driven by rigorous bottom-up fundamental analysis that incorporates ESG considerations. You will contribute to generating innovative investment ideas within a collaborative team environment, utilizing a unified investment research language across our equity platform.

You will be expected to lead by example, setting high standards for equity research and analysis, mentor and develop the skillsets of existing analysts within the team.  Collaborate closely with fund managers on UK equities and sustainable mandates.  Generate investment ideas through thorough fundamental analysis and ESG integration.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Passion for equity investment
  • Previous depth of experience required in equity research
  • Previous coverage of Energy, Utilities and Real Estate preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and abilities in financial modelling and company valuation
  • Previous coverage of UK Equities and track record of stock picking success
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
