We’re looking for a Nanophotonics Engineer to join the Spectacles team to work on the next generation of displays at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the development of micro-displays for Snap's Spectacles AR glasses 

  • Assess electro-optical performance of displays against system requirements

  • Design and build self-contained demonstration platforms

  • Support yield improvement activities with data collection and analysis across different process stages

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop production test system for displays

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating a variety of parametric test equipment, particularly in the electro-optical domain.

  • Ability to write software using Python and create automated characterisation tests with NI LabView.

  • Experience with PCB design and schematic capture 

  • Experience with the Semiconductor industry

  • A strong enthusiasm for working within the demanding yet stimulating environment  on a wide variety of problems.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.

  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience working in a technology based environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field.

  • Experience of working in display development
