About the Role

SailPoint is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead complex, business-critical initiatives for our Infrastructure Platform within the Product organization. This is a technical program management role for someone who has driven large, organization-wide initiatives and thrives on cultivating relationships and influencing across organizational boundaries. You will manage programs from inception through delivery—ensuring we execute successfully, resolve dependencies, and deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes for our cloud-native platform.

About the Team

You'll join our Engineering Operations team and partner closely with the Infrastructure Platform organization—the teams that build and operate the foundational systems our products run on. Engineering Operations sits at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and delivery excellence: we remove friction, standardize process, and help teams ship with confidence. In this role you will work daily with Engineering and Product leaders across the Infrastructure Platform portfolio, coordinating roadmap execution, dependency management, and cross-team alignment so platform investments land on time and at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with leaders across Engineering and Product Management.
  • Keep cross-organizational and cross-functional teams focused on what matters most for the business and program success.
  • Manage and track program execution across multiple development teams to ensure successful, high-quality, on-time delivery.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the system and resolve them decisively, including making and communicating tradeoffs.
  • Anticipate, recognize, and work through risks, resistance, or setbacks that impact program execution.
  • Use technical judgment to drive strategic alignment and product delivery.
  • Develop program plans and schedules covering all phases of the program lifecycle.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly to executive stakeholders through visual and verbal updates.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to methodically work through problems and challenges.
Roadmap for Success

By 30 days — Onboarding:

  • Onboard into the role, learn our product offering and technology stack, meet peers and stakeholders proactively, review the current Infrastructure Platform roadmap, and attend Engineering Operations and Infrastructure Platform team meetings.

By 90 days — Execution & Alignment:

  • Facilitate scrum of scrums meetings with engineering teams.
  • Lead stakeholder communications on roadmap execution for Infrastructure Platform programs.
  • Partner with dependent engineering teams to drive cross-team collaboration on large roadmap initiatives.

By 6 months — Planning & Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Lead dependency triage, coordination, and planning meetings for upcoming commitments.
  • Partner with product and engineering managers to establish planning practices and roadmap communications.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across the Infrastructure Platform portfolio.
  • Improve operational methodologies within the organization and partner with other TPMs to establish shared best practices.

By 1 year — Ownership & Strategic Impact:

  • Develop a deep understanding of organizational structure and product ownership across the Infrastructure Platform.
  • Anticipate team needs and provide impactful guidance and leadership.
  • Understand overall program structure and department vision.
  • Own the communication path to Engineering senior leadership for Infrastructure Platform updates.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience driving large programs and delivering strong results, including at least 3 years in software product development (SaaS, web applications, or similar).
  • Proven ability to build frameworks that track and execute program direction.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and adaptability to the needs of the program and the maturity of participating teams.
  • Technical experience developing SaaS products, grounded in modern web technologies and agile processes.
  • Track record of building partnerships and leveraging them to achieve program outcomes.
  • Demonstrated persistence and accountability for meeting commitments.
  • Self-directed with a strong sense of ownership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with product development in both large and small companies.
  • Experience with identity management, security, or governance.
The Tech Stack
  • Program & documentation: JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
  • Cloud & platform: AWS, Azure; cloud-native microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Delivery: Agile/Scrum, scrum of scrums, CI/CD pipelines

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$97,900 - $165,082.00

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
