The Senior Technical Compliance Specialist will interpret regulations, conduct compliance gap assessments, develop project plans, liaise with stakeholders, and manage compliance risks within the gaming sector. They will ensure the organization's adherence to relevant laws and standards while maintaining necessary compliance documentation and coordinating audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze laws, regulations, technical regulations, and standards across relevant jurisdictions.
- Conduct technical compliance gap assessments in various jurisdictions, advising on the implementation of technical solutions.
- Develop new market entry project plan and track the progress; prepare and maintain status reports and schedules, track milestones and dependencies. Follow up regularly with stakeholders on progress of an implementation required to satisfy compliance requirements.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, solution providers, clients) on technical compliance matters.
- Define and refine the change management process as required by different jurisdictions.
- Identify and report technical compliance risks and gaps, contributing to solution implementation.
- Keep abreast of changes in jurisdictions which will be assigned to you to monitor and provide requirements to the product and development teams and support with the implementation.
- Maintain confluence pages with relevant information on jurisdictions that are assigned to you.
- Assist in keeping an up to date and accurate library/database of regulatory standards and licenses.
- Be responsible for scheduling regulatory audits and certifications.
- Serve as the primary contact for Testing Labs during audits.
- Assist in troubleshooting incidents that affect compliance.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a technical compliance role within the gaming sector.
- Experience with regulations and certifications/homologations
- Experience in project management; develop project plans, track progress, prepare reports and manage expectations.
- Experience with data models/ data vaults is an asset.
- A strong understanding of industry best practices.
- Proven ability to work closely with key internal and external stakeholders in the online gambling industry.
- Technical acumen to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Capability to drive compliance implementation throughout the organization.
- Adaptable and agile, can work in a fast-paced environment and respond and re-prioritize quickly when internal or external changes demand
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
