Job Description:

The role:

The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for owning how supply flows through the business—not just maintaining a plan but ensuring it is executable in practice.  This role operates at the intersection of demand, procurement, and manufacturing. The Senior Supply Planner converts demand into supply, capacity, and inventory plans, stress-tests them against real-world constraints, and identifies risks before they impact the business.

The objective is clear: build plans that hold up under execution.

What you’ll do:

Primary Responsibilities:

Own the supply, capacity, and inventory plan

  • Convert demand into executable supply, capacity, and inventory plans across the end-to-end supply chain
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing capacity plans aligned with demand requirements
  • Maintain accountability for inventory planning across internal manufacturing, procurement, contract manufacturing partners and suppliers
  • Continuously adjust plans based on demand shifts, supply disruptions, and changing priorities

Validate feasibility

  • Ensure plans are aligned with manufacturing capacity and supplier capabilities
  • Identify where plans may fail due to constraints and propose practical, data-driven solutions

Proactively manage supply risk

  • Assess risks across suppliers, materials, capacity, and inventory positions
  • Identify near-term risks to builds and service levels
  • Drive mitigation actions such as expediting, reallocating supply, or adjusting inventory strategies

Improve planning systems and processes (including PFEP)

  • Identify gaps between system outputs and operational reality
  • Improve planning logic, data integrity, and usability
  • Ensure planning outputs are reliable, actionable, and aligned with execution

Manage product transitions

  • Support phase-ins, phase-outs, and engineering changes in coordination with procurement and manufacturing partners
  • Balance service levels, capacity constraints, and inventory exposure during transitions

Partner cross-functionally

  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, sales, and marketing
  • Communicate risks, trade-offs, and priorities clearly to enable decision-making

Drive inventory accuracy and continuous improvement

  • Support cycle counting in production and root cause analysis of discrepancies
  • Improve planning workflows and decision-making processes

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of how supply chains operate in practice
  • Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers
  • Experience using an ERP system such as NetSuite or similar
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and pull systems
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Ability to connect demand, supply, and production into a cohesive plan
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with imperfect data
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in consumer products, cosmetics, medical devices, or related industries.
