Senior Strategy Manager, Payouts

About the Role:

Payouts is a ~$1T revenue market globally in 2024, expected to grow at high-single-digits over the next 5 years. Strong, fundamental long-term tailwinds (e.g., cross-border eCommerce, continued platform dominance, evolving workforce dynamics, and higher customer expectations) are expected to continue driving significant future growth.

Worldpay has a dedicated Payouts team, spanning Product, Strategy, Commercialisation, and Sales. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Strategy Manager to join our Strategy team. This role will focus on defining our strategy in new markets (new geographies, customer segments, channels, etc.) and executing the strategy to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong payments background, either from a leading payment/fintech/banking business or from a top strategy consultancy background. This role is an individual contributor and will report to the Head of Strategy for the Payouts team.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute strategies for entering new markets, including new geographies, customer segments, and channels.
  • Conduct market research to gain a deeper understanding of the market and competitor landscape.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and refine strategic thinking.
  • Clearly articulate the strategy to key stakeholders and drive the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage data to test strategic hypotheses and identify focus areas.

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a Strategy or Market Expansion role, ideally from a leading payment/fintech/banking business or a top strategy consultancy
  • Strong payments knowledge and experience, particularly in the context of market expansion, with a sufficient understanding of the licensing and regulatory landscape globally
  • Exceptional documentation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills for creating strategy reports
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment

What We Offer You:

  • A competitive salary and benefits.
  • A variety of career development tools, resources, and opportunities.
  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in the payment industry.
  • Time to support charities and give back to your community.
