The company

Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are.

That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed.

We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.

We're looking for a Senior Strategy Analyst to join our iwocaPay team, focusing on Seller Acquisition and Activation.

Sellers use iwocaPay to offer innovative trade credit and buy-now-pay-later solutions for business customers. Those sellers are essential to our success: we need them to offer iwocaPay to their customers, who in turn use us to spread the cost of their purchase, improving their cash flow and operational flexibility.

We are looking for an analyst who is a strategic 'doer': someone with the skill to turn complex data into clear insights, the autonomy to own the data pipeline, and the collaborative spirit to help us make smarter, faster decisions.

The team

iwocaPay is a fast-growing team of 40, organised into four squads. The Seller Activation Squad is a cross-functional unit that owns seller onboarding, from how we first present iwocaPay through to how sellers integrate it into their sales channels.

The squad’s analyst will be the primary data partner to the product manager, engineers, and designers, working alongside iwocaPay’s central Data & Analytics function.

The role

This role gives you full ownership of analytics for one of iwocaPay's most commercially important squads. You'll become the team's expert on the seller journey, shape how we measure it end-to-end, and have direct influence over the decisions the squad makes, with the autonomy to set your own analytical bar.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Strategic decision partnering & impact sizing: Frame and quantify commercial bets by building models that challenge assumptions, estimate returns, and define what success looks like.

  • End-to-end data & infrastructure ownership: Design the data models and manage the flow from CRM through to the warehouse and visualisation layer, making the seller journey measurable and scalable.

  • Deep-dive insight & feature evaluation: Surface insights on performance, churn, and activation bottlenecks across the broader seller dataset, and measure the impact of new features.

  • Driving action & empowering operations teams: Translate findings into clear 'so what' insights for the business, and equip Sales, Marketing, and Account Management with the reporting they need to execute.

The requirements

Essential:

  • 3+ years of analytical experience in a B2B environment supporting product, sales, marketing, or customer activation, with a track record of independently managing a varied workload and setting your own priorities

  • Strong SQL skills, with hands-on experience of database management and data modelling

  • Comfortable working across the full data stack, including BI and data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

  • A clear communicator who can frame ambiguous problems, connect data to business outcomes, and translate findings for non-technical audiences

  • Curious and pragmatic, you enjoy breaking down complex problems and care about getting the data right

Bonus:

  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools like dbt and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake

  • Experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, or other product intelligence platforms

  • Experience working with Hubspot, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms

  • A statistical background or experience setting up, running, and analyzing A/B tests and experiments

The salary

We expect to pay from £70,000–£90,000 for this role. But, we’re open minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.

The culture

At iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective.

We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better. We provide the infrastructure where every iwocan always has access to the best models and where those models have access to all of our data. We will help our people to learn how to use and grow with the new tools available to them.

The offices

We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work:

  • Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks.

  • Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions.

The benefits

  • Flexible working hours.

  • Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.

  • A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents.

  • 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.

  • A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.

  • Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.

  • 3% Pension contributions on total earnings.

  • An employee equity incentive scheme.

  • Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money.

  • Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme.

  • Two company retreats a year: we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield.

And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer:

  • A learning and development budget for everyone.

  • Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers.

  • Access to learning platforms like Treehouse.
