Job Description:

insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join one of our EMEA pre-sales teams and report directly to the Director of Solution Engineering . This position will handle product demonstrations, pre-sales support and partner enablement for our tax business unit. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our sales and post-sales teams, providing expert guidance to prospects on how our products can address their specific business challenges. You do not need to come from a pre-sales background, however you should be confident presenting to clients, have tax accounting expertise, a consulting mindset, and experience mapping customer requirements to software solutions. This is a remote-based role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our tax solution, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and tailor presentations that demonstrate how our solutions can meet those requirements.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations, highlighting the value and capabilities of our offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solution Design & POC Delivery: Collaborate with prospects to design tailored solutions aligned with their business processes and objectives, then own the technical delivery of configured POCs and demos that translate requirements into compelling proof points, accelerating deal closure and establishing customer confidence.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in crafting detailed proposals and responses to RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with prospect needs.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather insights from prospect interactions to inform product development and enhance our solutions.
  • Webinars and Videos: Participate in webinars as tax subject matter expert, providing demos for webinar topics, and recording general videos for use by marketing and sales teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in client-facing tax roles, from either a pre-sales, industry/public accounting or consulting background.
  • Experience presenting to mixed teams, varying from staff level accountants to the Vice President of Tax or Finance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to think quickly, to respond to customer questions and convey complex technical concepts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax platforms and a solid understanding of tax provision, transfer pricing, and BEPS reporting requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client challenges.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of your time
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Tax. (Computer Science or technical background preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer-facing B2B environment.
  • Experience implementing or integrating Longview Tax and / or tax software platforms.
  • Developing technical solutions.
  • Ability to speak German will be a big advantage.



The salary range in United Kingdom for this position is 97,000.00 to 122,000.00 GBP Annual.

For sales roles, this range includes the commission target. For non-sales roles, this is a base salary only range; additional bonus eligibility may apply.
