Job title: Senior Software Engineering Manager

Location: London / Bristol / Edinburgh (Including Hybrid)

Salary: £100,000 - £125,000

What will I be doing?

  • You will be responsible for delivering solutions to enable Quality, Engineering, and our Client Teams to test Kaluza’s software better. To do this, you will need to: 
    • Manage stakeholders and build relationships with clients directly.
    • Develop the strategy and architecture required to meet the needs of internal teams and clients.
    • Identify improvement opportunities for ways of working and enable teams to work efficiently while improving the quality of Kaluza’s products.
    • Collaborate with a range of internal peers including Delivery, Product, Customer Success, Commercial and Engineering.
  • You will manage a cross functional team of Quality and Developer Engineers. Engineering Managers contribute to both the technical and product vision of their teams, making sure that their products are successful.
  • Helping teams to make technical decisions that align with Kaluza’s business objectives.

About You 

Ideally you’ll:

  • Have significant experience in an Engineering Management position, developing high performing cross functional teams.
  • Have a strong technology background, ideally in scalable distributed applications, and an excellent understanding of a broad set of modern technologies.
  • Have experience delivering test tools and frameworks, including test data management. 
  • Have a track record of delivering high-quality, high-impact software effectively.
  • Be able to communicate and present effectively to clients, giving them confidence in our approach and progress.
  • Be ready to take the next step in your Engineering Management journey!

What will set you apart 

  • The ideal candidate would have a background in client-facing roles, including solution engineering, presales or consulting, with a proven ability to translate complex client needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Experience in Quality disciplines - either test automation, QA engineering or SDET.
  • Experience in any of the energy or billing domains would be a benefit - but are not required.
  • Experience transforming software engineering teams and practices through the use of AI, ML and/or LLMs or a keen interest in emerging technologies is desirable.

Other Requirements

Kaluza is a global business, as a result the person in this role will be required to collaborate with teams in APAC. In addition, travel to different Kaluza offices and client sites may also be needed.
