Lead the technical direction and architecture of a major global product area spanning multiple modules. Architect scalable, distributed cloud systems, shape technical vision and product roadmaps, guide engineering teams, make high-stakes technical decisions, and influence executives and cross-functional stakeholders. The role is primarily hands-off, with occasional code-level design and proof-of-concept work. Experience with AI/ML, AWS, API design, data modeling, SaaS, DevOps, and CI/CD is advantageous.

Own the French localization of a global energy billing platform, translating regulatory and client requirements into product specifications and roadmap priorities. Lead collaboration with clients, market experts, engineering, UX, QA, legal, and operations teams to deliver compliant billing functionality covering meter reads, tariffs, invoices, payments, and reporting. Monitor French energy legislation, manage scope and stakeholders, and serve as the subject matter expert for French billing requirements.

Lead engineering across two global billing, payments, and API domains, owning technical and product strategy, cross-squad initiatives, stakeholder alignment, and people leadership for two teams. Diagnose systemic and organizational issues in a high-integrity data environment where reliability and reconciliation are critical. Drive customer-focused solutions, apply AI and LLMs for customer impact, manage hiring and performance, and support a shared global platform with configurable market-specific edges.

Owns system design and architecture for a global billing and payments API platform. The Staff Engineer will establish reusable API patterns and technical standards, resolve complex technical issues, shape engineering proposals, and align leadership and adjacent teams on technical direction. The role also involves mentoring engineers, supporting a configurable global platform model, and applying AI/LLMs to customer-impacting solutions in a reliable, secure, auditable data domain.

Leads the quality and release engineering function across multiple delivery streams. Owns quality strategy, release governance, risk acceptance, defect governance, and go/no-go decisions. Manages engineers developing AI-assisted automation and test data capabilities, while leading QA transformation, operating model development, and upskilling. Establishes testing standards, shift-left practices, observability, and production monitoring. Partners with senior engineering and product stakeholders to improve release stability, communicate quality outcomes, and balance delivery velocity with risk.

Own the global vision, strategy, roadmap, and commercial success of Kaluza’s residential VPP platform. Lead Product Managers across device integration, optimisation, monetisation, and SaaS teams; establish OKRs; make strategic trade-offs; partner with engineering, commercial, and partnerships teams; support enterprise sales; and build a high-performing product organisation. The role requires strong product leadership, commercial judgment, communication, coaching, and experience with complex B2B or B2B2C platforms.

Manages engineering teams of up to 10 people, guiding technical and product vision, talent development, performance, delivery, and operational excellence. Partners with clients, product managers, and client success teams to deliver platform solutions and drive technical roadmaps. Requires engineering management experience, strong communication, Agile and lean development knowledge, and familiarity with modern technologies including Kafka. The role involves 4–6 business trips annually and hybrid office work three days per week.

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for Kaluza’s energy retail platform. Responsibilities include developing event-driven systems, optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases, using AWS and serverless architectures, monitoring production services, and collaborating with product and engineering teams. The role also involves mentoring colleagues, promoting engineering best practices, and owning services from architecture through continuous improvement.

Owns the People service desk, employee query resolution, and onboarding experience from offer acceptance through day one. Supports payroll inputs, benefits administration, compliance, HRIS updates, and process improvements. The role also improves Jira workflows, service automation, People Bot knowledge, and self-service capabilities while contributing to cross-functional People projects.

Designs and leads data migration architectures for client SaaS deployments, including source-system analysis, data mapping, ETL, validation, reconciliation, testing, cutover, and production readiness. Partners with clients, engineering, product, and program teams to resolve complex migration issues, improve scalability, define technical standards, support presales, and develop reusable migration playbooks.

Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and global standards for Kaluza’s CI/CD, release engineering, developer platforms, and infrastructure tooling. Drive DevOps, SRE, DORA metrics, automated testing, deployment safety, and engineering productivity. Mentor engineers, establish scalable cloud-native release practices, and build proofs of concept using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions. The role also promotes AI-assisted developer tooling and supports secure, regulated, high-throughput SaaS environments.

Leads strategic People Partnering across the European technology business, advising executive leaders on workforce planning, organizational change, culture, inclusion, employee relations, compliance, and people analytics. Manages People Partners across the UK and France, supports AI-driven transformation, oversees complex European ER matters, and provides strategic support to the VP People.

Own and improve business operations technology, including Jira architecture, data pipelines, dashboards, integrations, and automated workflows. Build reliable operational tooling, connect internal and enterprise platforms such as Workday, analyze data, identify process improvements, and evaluate AI-enabled solutions. The role requires independent problem-solving, clear communication, and proactive management of security, compliance, reliability, and technical trade-offs.

Design and operate Kaluza’s internal developer platform, improving developer experience through automation, self-service tooling, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps. Build and maintain scalable Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, establish monitoring and observability, embed security controls, optimize reliability, participate in on-call support, and provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Build and evolve Kaluza’s internal developer platform, enabling reliable software delivery and reducing infrastructure toil. Responsibilities include developing automation and tooling, managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform, Helm, and Crossplane, implementing GitOps practices, supporting Kubernetes, establishing monitoring and observability, embedding security and reliability standards, participating in on-call support, and coordinating with stakeholders and service providers.

The role involves leading the product strategy and development for Kaluza's Customer Care solutions, focusing on CCaaS and case management while collaborating with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.

Own early-stage business development by executing high-volume multichannel outreach, generating and qualifying meetings, nurturing leads, and supporting pipeline growth. Lead initial prospect and partner conversations, deliver software demonstrations, generate demand through AWS and Google Cloud marketplaces, and support events, content campaigns, and other growth initiatives. The role requires energy-sector knowledge, cloud ecosystem awareness, strong communication skills, and independent commercial execution.
