About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of our backend systems. If you’re passionate about building scalable, reliable, and high-performance services using TypeScript, this role is perfect for you!
As part of the Payments team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that power payment solutions, collaborate across teams, and explore new technologies to deliver a seamless experience for our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js TypeScript that are resilient, scalable, and secure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Product, Analytics) to deliver high-quality features and ensure end-to-end system reliability.
- Contribute to system architecture and design discussions while implementing best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Own the SDLC process, including CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and documentation.
Who are you?
- Strong backend development experience with TypeScript, including building and maintaining complex services.
- Ability to design services for scale and reliability, with a focus on performance and fault tolerance.
- A solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, deployment pipelines, observability) and quality assurance (unit, integration testing).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, strong ownership of tasks, and attention to detail in code and documentation.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in the Payments domain (e.g., payment gateways, PCI compliance, fraud prevention).
- Familiarity with AWS.
- A passion for learning and working with new technologies to solve challenging problems.
- Hands-on experience with containerized infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker).

Hybrid work:
At Forter, we have embraced a hybrid work model that combines the benefits of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
