What does the Flywheel Product Team do?

The Flywheel Product Team is responsible for spinning HubSpot’s enterprise Flywheel faster.   We build for HubSpot’s front line reps, ops teams and partners so they can perform their best work and continue to accelerate their ability to deliver value for customers at scale.

You’ll join the Flywheel Product Line's Engage AI Prospecting team, a team dedicated to revolutionising how Business Developmenentatives (BDRs) connect with potential customers. Our mission for 2025 is to empower BDRs to engage good-fit prospects authentically, leveraging AI-driven insights to craft personalized, multi-channel outreach that resonates deeply and builds trusted relationships from the first interaction.

We operate at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and real-world business needs, integrating seamlessly into HubSpot's existing ecosystem while respecting the unique workflows of tenured BDRs. The team’s primary focus is on increasing BDR efficiency by simplifying prospect research, improving data synthesis, and accelerating content creation—all while fostering user trust in AI-driven solutions.

Joining this team means working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a clear emphasis on experimentation, user empathy, and measurable business impact. You’ll have the opportunity to build innovative solutions that tackle some of the most pressing challenges faced by BDRs today, such as reducing time spent on research and improving outreach personalisation.

As a Senior Engineer II, you will:

  • Write and ship production code that has meaningful and measurable user and business impact
  • Envision, build and analyse new features and tools, each contributing to company growth and revenue
  • Work with a small cross-functional team of engineers, PMs, designers, content designers, and researchers
  • Collaborate with HubSpotters all over the company, whether in engineering, product, design, research, marketing, support, etc
  • Help thousands of HubSpot customers meet their goals and grow their companies, stemming from changes you’ve made
  • Implement experiments that give us valuable insights into user behaviour and how to improve their experience
  • Get exposure to how HubSpot works as a business

You may be a fit if:

  • You have strong frontend development experience. We work with Typescript, JavaScript and React primarily, but experience with specific technologies is secondary to strong programming fundamentals.
  • You are focused on building user-centric solutions. You build empathy for their challenges and understand how they may flow through our product.
  • You not only get excited about big, technical challenges but also about being close to the business
  • You have or are interested in gaining experience with experimentation and A/B tests.
  • You’re interested and have experimented with emerging technologies such as generative AI & LLMs.
