Senior Sales Executive – Private Markets FX Sales

About the Role
We are seeking a driven Senior Sales Executive to join our private markets FX sales team. This is an outbound sales and business development role focused on acquiring new private market clients (such as hedge funds, asset managers, private equity etc.) and expanding our presence in the cross-border payments and FX solutions market. You'll be responsible for proactive prospecting, relationship building, and delivering tailored FX solutions to private market clients across the fund ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Prospecting: Proactively research, identify, and prospect private market clients including investment managers, corporate service providers, and fund administrators who require cross-border payment solutions, FX services, and FX hedging capabilities.
- Client Acquisition: Drive outbound sales efforts to acquire new private market clients through cold outreach, networking, and strategic business development initiatives.
- Relationship Management: Establish rapport and build credibility with prospective clients by understanding their investment objectives, risk appetite, and international payment needs. Develop strong, trust-based relationships that position you as a strategic partner.
- Solution Selling: Effectively present and communicate comprehensive FX solutions that address clients' entire cross-border payment and forex requirements, demonstrating clear value propositions tailored to their specific needs.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies designed to expand our private market client base and increase market penetration.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including FX dealing and operations to ensure seamless client onboarding, trade execution, and service delivery.
- Global Client Service: Leverage Ebury's global footprint to provide clients with truly international solutions and support across multiple markets.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years in private market FX sales, with a proven track record in outbound sales and business development within FX, cross-border financial services, or corporate services.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of FX markets, including trading strategies, hedging solutions, and risk management techniques.
- Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify leads, and close new business with private market clients. Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and persistence in pursuing new opportunities.
- Relationship Building: Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with private market clients, particularly within the fund space (investment managers, corporate service providers, fund administrators).
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex FX solutions clearly. Skilled negotiator capable of building credibility at senior levels.
