Senior Sales Engineer – HPE Networking

The integration of Juniper Networks into HPE has created one of the industry's most comprehensive networking portfolios, combining networking, security, AI-driven operations and cloud-managed solutions.

We're looking for experienced Senior Sales Engineers to work with some of the UK's largest Finance, Retail, Public Sector and Enterprise customers, helping organisations solve complex networking and security challenges whilst driving business growth.

This is a highly customer-facing role where you'll act as a trusted technical advisor, influencing technology strategies, leading technical evaluations and supporting major business opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Account Managers on strategic customer opportunities.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders.

  • Lead technical discovery workshops and solution design activities.

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and executive presentations.

  • Run proof-of-concept engagements and technical evaluations.

  • Support large and complex sales opportunities.

  • Influence customer networking and security strategies.

  • Mentor and support less experienced engineers where appropriate.

  • Act as a subject matter expert across key networking technologies.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in networking, pre-sales, consulting or customer-facing technical roles.

  • Strong enterprise networking background.

  • Proven experience engaging directly with customers.

  • Ability to understand business and technical challenges and translate them into solutions.

  • Strong commercial awareness and consultative selling skills.

  • Experience leading proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Strong experience across several of the following:

  • Enterprise Wi-Fi

  • Campus & Branch Networking

  • Switching

  • Routing

  • SD-WAN

  • Network Security

  • Firewalls & VPNs

  • Network Access Control

  • SSE/SASE

  • Data Centre Networking
