LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

About the role

LemFi moves money across borders for people who have been underserved by traditional finance. Behind every successful transfer is a reconciliation function that keeps the books clean, the partners happy and the regulators satisfied. This role sits at the heart of that engine.
As Reconciliation and Investigation/Resolution Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day reconciliation operations within our Finance team in London, reporting to the Reconciliations Manager. You will own the quality of everything the team produces - from bank and ledger reconciliations to dispute resolution and partner reporting - while coaching the people around you to get better every week. If you are energised by complexity, take personal pride in clean books and know how to get a cross-functional team moving in the same direction, this is the role for you.

What you'll build and own
  • Own end-to-end quality assurance across all transaction reconciliations - bank accounts, P2P, merchant and credit card - and step into the Reconciliations Manager's responsibilities when cover is needed.

  • Identify, investigate and resolve account discrepancies (double charges, incorrect amounts, booking failures, unsettled transactions) before they become customer or partner problems.

  • Lead the team's SLA performance on customer disputes and internal escalations, making sure nothing sits unresolved and every case is documented to audit standard.

  • Drive process improvements across reconciliation procedures, using AI-assisted tooling where it saves time, and implement best practices that reduce manual effort and error rates.

  • Manage internal and external audit cycles end to end - evidence, documentation, schedules - so the team is never caught unprepared.

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with banking and payments partners, including periodic filings, reports and any partner obligations, coordinating with Finance, Engineering and Product teams to keep operations and new products aligned.

  • Present clear, insight-led reconciliation reports to the Finance leadership, turning raw transaction data into decisions - not just status updates.

Your experience
  • 5 or more years in high-volume transaction reconciliation - merchant, P2P and other fintech products - with hands-on experience investigating and resolving complex discrepancies.

  • Proven track record in a supervisory or team leadership role within a reconciliations or finance operations environment, including coaching and developing junior staff.

  • Deep understanding of payment and settlement transaction chains in a global or multi-currency regulatory environment.

  • Advanced Excel skills and practical experience with modern reconciliation tools, whether automated platforms or well-structured manual processes.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - able to present findings clearly to senior leadership and work closely with Engineering and Product teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, meet tight month-end deadlines and maintain precision throughout.

  • Comfortable working a rotating weekend schedule (approximately one Saturday or Sunday per month, three to four hours) and covering bank holidays on a rota basis.

Nice to have
  • Experience with credit card reconciliation and a working knowledge of credit products.

  • Familiarity with general accounting principles and banking system architecture.

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
