Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Hospitality team. The role combines functional testing and test automation, with automation as the primary focus. You will validate complex hotel management workflows across API and UI layers, define test strategies, and build automation that scales — while actively using AI tools as a core part of how you work every day.
What you will do:
Plan and execute functional and exploratory testing across hotel management workflows: reservations, billing, check-in/check-out, housekeeping, events, and guest profiles.
Test and validate REST APIs — requests, responses, status codes, data contracts, and edge cases.
Investigate, reproduce, and document bugs with clear, actionable reports.
Design, build, and maintain an end-to-end automation framework using Playwright and TypeScript, covering UI and API layers.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and maintain test reporting with Allure and Xray/Jira.
Use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) daily — for writing tests, debugging, generating test data, and reviewing automation code.
Apply AI-assisted approaches to test generation, root cause analysis, and flakiness reduction.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews with a focus on quality and maintainability.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies and shift quality left.
Who you are:
5 + years in QA engineering, with strong experience in both functional testing and automation.
Solid REST API testing skills — you can validate, debug, and reason about API behaviour independently.
Playwright and TypeScript expertise — you have built or significantly contributed to a Playwright framework.
Daily hands-on use of AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) as part of your engineering workflow.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test reporting/traceability tools.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with the hospitality or hotel management domain.
Experience with AI-assisted test generation or self-healing selector strategies.
Knowledge of SQL for data validation or performance testing tools (k6, JMeter).
Experience with Xray/Jira for test management.
