Job Description
As a Senior Project / Programme Manager at Northern Data Group, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple high-impact projects within the high-performance computing/data centre industry.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resources, and budget estimates, aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements, expectations, and deliverables. Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Lead and manage project teams, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, and fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Mentor and coach junior project managers to enhance their skills and performance.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project to minimise impact on project outcomes.
- Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure project success.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures to guarantee that project outputs meet or exceed standards and client expectations.
- Track project progress using appropriate tools and techniques. Provide regular status updates and detailed reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Proactively address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management. Contribute to the development and refinement of project management methodologies within the organisation.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes or technologies.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior project management role, preferably within the high-performance computing or data centre industries.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Programme Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of high-performance computing and data centre technologies.
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Advanced ability to analyse data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- High level of adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements and priorities.
- Superior organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field (nice to have).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and data centre infrastructure management (nice to have).
- Familiarity with data security and compliance standards relevant to the high-performance computing industry (nice to have).
