What You'll Bring:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our growing team. 
You’ll be joining the senior leadership team for our Product Owner team. In this role, you will be a subject matter expert for your product portfolio, providing consultation, in depth analysis and decision-making capabilities, acting as a primary contact point across senior stakeholders within TransUnion.
You’ll provide clear ownership of your products and coach less experienced colleagues, promoting best practices and policies to achieve collective success.
 

Day to Day You’ll Be:

  • Product Ownership - Maintain a comprehensive product knowledge across all aspects of relevant product lines, handle queries and communication with stakeholders and translating high level vision (provided by Product Managers) into a clear set of requirements

  • Creation, maintenance and documentation of these requirements

  • Prioritisation and ongoing management of product backlog (including ensuring coverage and completeness) aligned to Roadmap

  • Ensure adherence to Portfolio Development Lifecycle for all Product Developments

  • Adherence to GDPR principles & UK regulatory requirements

  • Production of Product Requirements Document and elaboration to user stories

  • Definition of Sprint Goals and Define User Story Acceptance Criteria

  • Support and direct Delivery Teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of requirements via agreed Sprint Goals and adherence to agreed delivery schedule on Product Roadmaps

  • Manage and escalate risks appropriately in relation to relevant product line

  • Act as the primary contact point across internal stakeholders for your product, including escalations

  • Provide consultation as a subject matter expert on innovation and improvements to products

  • Leads on important business projects and initiatives

  • Coach and support other Product Owners across your line of business and in other areas to ensure collaboration and maximise opportunities across TU UK

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Product Ownership – Expert product and business knowledge

  • Ability to consult on complex problems and business challenges

  • Requirements Definition/ User Stories

  • Stakeholder Management – able to present and translate detailed technical information and analysis in an easy to understand and concise manner to senior stakeholders

  • Backlog prioritisation – ongoing management of product backlog (including ensuring coverage and completeness) aligned to Roadmap

  • Autonomous and disciplined with strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple conflicting priorities

  • Interest in Technology & assists in driving a culture of innovation

  • Effective communication skills to influence a range of stakeholders including senior management

  • Attention to detail

  • Knowledge of the UK regulatory environment

Supervises/ Direct Reports: No direct reports but as a senior subject matter expert, is responsible for coaching other team members.
