Senior Product Manager – Forward Deployed Engineering
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Product Manager to lead product execution & engagement for the CoCounsel Legal Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team serving CoCounsel’s most strategic customers. This role is focused on large, complex custom solutions and plays a critical role in ensuring that learnings from FDE engagements are translated into coherent priorities, scalable capabilities, and durable product outcomes.
The Senior Product Manager will lead engagements with our largest & most important customers and partner closely with Forward Deployed Engineers, core product teams, and other stakeholders to shape what we build next. About the role
- Lead prioritization for FDE-led product work supporting customers, ensuring alignment across active engagements and clear focus on highest-impact outcomes.
- Lead engagements with our most strategic customers, working directly with legal, IT, security, and operations stakeholders.
- Act as the primary product partner to Forward Deployed Engineers working on FDE engagements and lead FDE pre-sale & discovery conversations with customers.
- Provide clarity to commercial and account teams on what is being built, why, and how it ladders to scalable product outcomes.
- Translate customer needs into clear problem statements, scope definitions, and success criteria that guide FDE execution.
- Design and execute rapid POCs and experiments to explore new AI-powered use cases for attorneys, with a focus on learning quickly and iterating rapidly, leveraging advancements in Generative AI and LLMs
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of experts, including a Legal SME, a prompt engineer, and a full-stack engineer, to design and develop POCs and experiments that push the boundaries of AI capabilities
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI innovation, based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and Generative AI models
About you
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or related technologies
- Proven track record of driving innovation and experimentation in product development
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, including Gen AI, machine learning, and natural language processing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations
- Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment, with a focus on rapid iteration and experimentation
- Experience with legal industry a plus but not required
