JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Product Manager for FUGA, you will be responsible for delivering incredible value to our customers, who represent some of the most culturally significant record labels, distributors and management companies in the music industry.

We empower those customers with solutions and services to run their digital business, including content ingestion, catalogue management, supply chain, analytics and royalty reporting. FUGA is the leading technical partner for the independent music industry, and we’re looking for someone who is genuinely excited to help solve these complex problems with us.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Engineering, Product Design and other Product Managers in the group to ensure we maintain our status as the independent supplier of choice to all major DSPs.

You will be a key part of the team responsible for developing the next generation of FUGA’s market leading digital supply chain technology, identifying smart ways to continuously scale our systems to keep pace with the explosive growth of content in the industry and taking advantage of our preferred partnerships to deliver cutting edge DSP functionality that drives revenue for customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the Digital Distribution roadmap and its delivery to unlock incremental value for users of our product over multiple quarters.
  • Lead on the discovery work for this area: engage with our DSP partners, internal teams and customers to develop a detailed understanding of what the future in the digital supply chain space should look like.
  • Partner with the engineering teams to identify priority improvements to our technology stack, as it pertains to delivery of content to DSPs. Help them strike a healthy balance between reducing tech debt, adding new features and providing day-to-day support for our operational teams.
  • Structure broad and complex solutions into manageable pieces that are aligned to phasing determined by business needs, including incremental rollout plans and iterative releases
  • Work with the engineering teams to translate these requirements into user stories and technical requirements that will be used for delivery using an agile approach.
  • Develop and employ quantitative and qualitative measures to evaluate the effectiveness of our solutions, both in MVP state and after full release.
  • Build and improve processes for collecting customer feedback, requirements gathering and maintaining a long-term roadmap.
  • Represent FUGA in relevant industry forums, including DDEX working group calls and conferences.
REQUIREMENTS
  • You have 7+ years experience as a Product Manager, the majority of which has been gained in the music industry at a label, distributor or delivery platform. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of content delivery processes, DDEX, XML and music metadata requirements.
  • You have the ability to define clear product objectives, roadmaps, requirements, priorities and deliverables.
  • You have an aptitude for understanding, digesting and analysing complex systems, and can explain them to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You’ve got excellent interpersonal and communication skills, user understanding and empathy.
  • You have experience with agile product development techniques and continuous, incremental development philosophies and practices for speed to market.
  • You love well written documentation and take great pride in delivering release notes and presentations to your stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable leading workshops with diverse stakeholder groups and customers, employing techniques such as user journey mapping.
