We are looking for a SeniorProduct Manager to join our global Academia and Government Product Management team! The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for turning business strategy into product strategy and defining and delivering features that our customers will love.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field / or equivalent work experience. 

  • At least 7 years of product management experience  

  • At least 5 years' experience of gathering requirements in close collaboration with customers. 

 

It would be great if you also had . . .

  • Advanced degree in a related field.  

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and tools such as Salesforce. 

  • Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence or similar tools 

  • Knowledge of academic research workflows and outputs. 

 

 

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Analyze customer needs and wants, and use prioritization techniques to determine which products or features will best meet those demands. 

  • Experiment, evaluate and create detailed product requirements, wireframes, and documentation in collaboration with user experience, user design, product analytics, product marketing, and development teams.  

  • Drive iterative enhancements through rapid product releases. 

  • Manage stakeholder communication and provide demonstrations and release notes through various channels.  

  • Collaborate with varied business units, including content, data science, and sales. 

  • Lead an agile product development team at standups, retros, and planning meetings.  

  • Maintain an active backlog of product ideas, experiments, and enhancements.  

 

 

 

About the Team 

 

The role reports to the Director, Product Management, based in UK, who manages a team of 4 supporting our Web of Science platform. 

 

You will join a global team of Product Managers that are at the center of the product development process, establishing user needs and translating them into actionable work that delivers products, features and enhancements that support the efforts of students and researchers across the globe. 

 

 

Hours of Work 

This is a full-time, permanent position based in London, UK and will require hybrid working in our Liverpool Street office (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote). 

This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available to adjust to various global time zones as needed. The teams you will work with are primarily located in EMEA and US.
