Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Manager for the Swift Payments Scheme to support the evolution, rollout, and adoption of scheme capabilities across the payments community.
The Role
You will join the Payments team and contribute to the successful delivery, rollout, and adoption of Swift Payments Scheme capabilities.
Working closely with customers, vendors, regional teams, and internal product stakeholders, you will help define requirements, support implementation activities, engage with the market, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the Scheme.
The role combines product management, customer engagement, and payments industry expertise, providing opportunities to influence how Scheme capabilities are introduced and adopted across the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the definition and evolution of Scheme capabilities by gathering customer feedback, analysing market needs, and contributing to product requirements and business cases.
- Work with customers, vendors, and market infrastructures to understand implementation challenges and help drive adoption of Scheme capabilities.
- Contribute to rollout plans and customer enablement activities to support successful implementation and usage.
- Develop customer-facing materials such as presentations, implementation guidance, FAQs, and adoption playbooks.
- Facilitate workshops, customer meetings, and community engagement activities to communicate product value and gather insights.
- Collaborate with Product, Standards, Architecture, Technology, and regional teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and effectively delivered.
- Monitor adoption, implementation progress, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse industry developments, market trends, and competitive dynamics to support product evolution and positioning.
- Support product launch activities, including communications, training, and sales enablement.
- Contribute to the management of the Scheme capability lifecycle, from concept through rollout and adoption.
Critical Skills Required
You are someone who:
- Has experience in product management, payments, transaction banking, financial services, or a related field.
- Possesses a solid understanding of payment flows, financial institution operations, and the broader payments ecosystem.
- Has experience gathering requirements and translating customer and business needs into product improvements.
- Understands product lifecycle management and supports the delivery and adoption of new capabilities.
- Can engage confidently with customers and communicate complex topics in a clear and structured manner.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Is comfortable collaborating across multiple teams in a matrix environment.
- Balances attention to detail with a focus on customer outcomes and business value.
- Takes ownership of deliverables and drives activities through to completion.
- Continuously expands knowledge of payments, product management, and industry developments.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, payments, transaction banking, financial services, consulting, or business analysis roles.
- Good understanding of cross-border payments, payment schemes, financial messaging, or related payment infrastructures.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 is an advantage.
- Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience supporting product launches, implementation programmes, or market adoption initiatives is desirable.
