CFA Institute is modernizing the systems and processes that run the business — finance, operations, and the core infrastructure behind how a global membership organization operates. This is a rare internal-facing product role with real breadth: you'll own the roadmap for enterprise systems end to end, work directly with Finance, Operations, and Technology leadership, and have a mandate to bring in AI, automation, and modern product practices to a space that's often underinvested in.
If you like being the person who turns "this process is broken" into a shipped, adopted solution — and you want your work seen by senior stakeholders, not buried in a backlog — this is that role.
What You'll Own
Set the roadmap. Define the vision and strategy for enterprise initiatives across financial systems, operations, and internal tooling. Work directly with Finance and Operations leaders to decide what gets built and why.
Run the full lifecycle. Take initiatives from business case through launch and into steady-state operation — requirements, vendor/technology evaluation, success metrics, delivery.
Be the translator. You'll sit at the intersection of business, finance, and tech — turning complex requirements into a product strategy that stakeholders across functions can actually align on.
Modernize how things work. Bring automation, AI-enabled tools, and process redesign to systems that haven't been touched in a while. This is greenfield territory, not a backlog of tickets.
Lead delivery, cross-functionally. Direct work across Product, Finance, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Operations. Own stakeholder alignment and unblock the team when things get complicated.
What Makes This Role Worth Applying For
High visibility. Direct partnership with COO/Operations and Finance leadership — your work has executive-level exposure.
Real scope. Full ownership from strategy through BAU transition, not just a slice of a roadmap.
Modernization mandate. You're brought in specifically to bring new thinking (AI, automation, redesigned workflows) to legacy back-office processes.
Mission-driven org. CFA Institute's work supports the global investment profession — your systems work enables that mission at scale.
