The Senior Product Manager, Back Office leads the strategy, development, and execution of initiatives that enhance CFA Institute’s internal operations, financial systems, and enterprise capabilities.

Partnering across business, finance, technology, and operations, you will define product vision, champion modern ways of working, and deliver scalable solutions that strengthen the organization’s core infrastructure and enable strategic priorities.

This role owns the full lifecycle of enterprise product initiatives—from ideation through launch and transition to business-as-usual—ensuring measurable business value and operational impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Enterprise Product Strategy

Partner with business, finance, technology, and operations leaders to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and align product outcomes with CFA Institute's strategic objectives.

  • Own End-to-End Product Delivery

Develop business cases, gather and prioritize requirements, evaluate technology solutions, establish success metrics, and oversee delivery to ensure solutions meet business, operational, and financial needs.

  • Bridge Business, Finance, and Technology
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating complex business, accounting, operational, and technical requirements into actionable product strategies. Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and ensure decisions balance organizational, financial, and technology considerations.

  • Drive Innovation and Transformation
Identify opportunities to modernize systems, processes, and ways of working through emerging technologies, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and organizational redesign. Evaluate new solutions and recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

  • Ensure Operational Excellence
Establish governance, performance metrics, and risk management practices that support sustainable product operations. Oversee system reliability, process documentation, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption and long-term value realization.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution
Direct cross-functional teams through complex enterprise initiatives, coordinating efforts across Product, Finance, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Operations. Drive stakeholder engagement, resolve obstacles, and ensure successful delivery of strategic outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong partnership with COO/operations and finance teams to drive measurable business outcomes

  • Experience modernizing systems, processes, or organizational architecture (AI exposure a plus)

  • Proven ability to manage full product lifecycles in a finance-related or enterprise systems domain

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and product portfolio management

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira (Service & Software) and workflow automation platforms (e.g., LogicGate) preferred
