Role Overview

As Senior Product Innovation Manager, you’ll lead our global product innovation strategy, turning future opportunities into deliverable initiatives, and shaping how our health insurance products, benefits, and structures should evolve to meet the future needs of customers and the business.


You’ll identify opportunities based on changing customer needs, market and healthcare trends, competitor activity, emerging technology, and commercial or regulatory developments. Working across markets and functions, you’ll turn the strongest opportunities into validated, commercially credible product initiatives and lead them through delivery This is both a strategic and hands-on role.


You’ll create a structured global innovation pipeline and roadmap, while leading priority initiatives from initial concept through development, implementation, and early performance evaluation. As the subject-matter expert, you’ll lead cross-functional teams and work closely with Product Managers and regional teams to ensure global opportunities reflect local needs and can be implemented successfully across different markets.

How you’ll help us make health happen by:


  • Extensive experience in product management, development, or innovation within regulated health insurance, ideally spanning international or domestic private medical insurance and multiple global markets
  • Proven experience leading complex product initiatives from initial concept through design, validation, business case, delivery, launch, and performance evaluation
  • et product innovation direction: Define and lead the global product innovation strategy, identifying the priorities and capabilities that should shape the future development of our health insurance products
  • Build the innovation pipeline: Develop and manage a structured global innovation framework, pipeline, and roadmap, balancing nearer-term opportunities with longer-term customer, healthcare, market, and technology developments.
  • Design future products: Lead the exploration and design of new or materially different products, benefits, and product structures, including new approaches to product architecture, modularity, optional cover, eligibility, cost-sharing, and utilisation management
  • Validate and prioritise opportunities: Draw on a range of insights to identify and develop product opportunities, leading concept development, testing, feasibility assessment, and business case creation to focus investment on those with a clear customer, commercial, and strategic rationale
  • Lead innovation through delivery: Act as concept owner for priority initiatives, leading their development through product approval, implementation, launch, and early performance evaluation; coordinating cross-functional delivery and ensuring the intended customer and commercial outcomes are achieved.
  • Design globally, implement locally: Work with Product Managers, regional teams, and local specialists to understand market needs, regulatory requirements, and delivery implications, ensuring global innovations can be adapted and implemented effectively across markets.
  • Enable future innovation: Shape product requirements for future systems and business capabilities, ensuring they provide the flexibility needed to implement innovative product and benefit designs

What you'll need:


  • Extensive experience in product management, development, or innovation within regulated health insurance, ideally spanning international or domestic private medical insurance and multiple global markets
  • Proven experience leading complex product initiatives from initial concept through design, validation, business case, delivery, launch, and performance evaluation
  • Strong strategic capability, with the ability to anticipate future customer and market needs and translate longer-term thinking into practical priorities and deliverable initiatives
  • Deep understanding of insurance product and benefit design, with experience developing or materially evolving product structures, coverage, benefits, eligibility, cost-sharing, or related product mechanics
  • Strong commercial judgement, balancing customer outcomes, affordability, differentiation, operational feasibility, and sustainable business value
  • Experience working across different markets, with an understanding of how customer needs, regulation, distribution, and implementation requirements vary locally
  • Demonstrable success in leading complex cross-functional initiatives, influencing at all levels, and mobilising delivery without direct control of resources
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to challenge constructively, facilitate collaborative decisions, and secure support for complex ideas
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, combining creativity and curiosity with analytical thinking, structure, pragmatism, and a strong focus on implementation
