We’re looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager, Growth to join us in London, United Kingdom to Liberty Growth, our global investment arm, has a portfolio of more than 75 companies and funds across content/ live sports/ entertainment, technology, finance and infrastructure/ energy, including strategic stakes in platform assets including Formula E, Atlas Edge, Liberty Energy and Blume.

JOB PURPOSE

As Senior Portfolio Manager within Liberty Growth, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage, grow and communicate the value of Liberty Global’s diverse investment portfolio. Working closely with the CFO Growth and their direct reports, you will help oversee a portfolio valued at approximately $3.4bn, spanning high-growth companies across Technology, Infrastructure/Energy, Services, Media, Sports and Live Events.

This is a highly visible role at the intersection of strategy, finance, investor narrative and value creation. You will work with senior leaders across Liberty Global and its portfolio companies, helping to shape corporate finance strategy, performance insight, reporting, valuation and the investment story behind some of the Group’s most exciting growth assets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Shape and develop the strategic and financial narrative for Liberty Growth’s portfolio pillars and key assets, translating complex performance and market dynamics into clear, compelling insight.
  • Partner with portfolio company leadership and embedded finance teams to support corporate finance strategy, long-range planning, funding requirements and value creation initiatives.
  • Support investor relations activity by developing high-quality quarterly materials and analysis relating to Liberty Growth assets.
  • Lead performance monitoring for priority Infrastructure and Growth investments, including KPI benchmarking, trend analysis and identification of opportunities to improve value creation.
  • Oversee portfolio monitoring across investments, disposals, proceeds and key financial movements, ensuring senior stakeholders have a clear and current view of portfolio performance.
  • Help design and deliver value-accretive management structures across the Growth pillars, including opportunities to leverage Liberty Global expertise through MSA and shared-service models.
  • Prepare board-level and executive materials for high-profile Liberty Global and Liberty Growth meetings, combining strategic narrative, corporate finance insight and detailed performance updates.
  • Own valuation and returns analysis for the overall portfolio and constituent assets, including engagement with external stakeholders during valuation events.
  • Manage, coach and develop members of the Growth team, including graduates and interns, helping to build a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong commercial storytelling skills, with the ability to turn strategic, financial and operational detail into clear narratives for senior stakeholders, boards and investors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships across finance, strategy, investor relations, operating companies and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, with experience building and maintaining models to support business cases, investment decisions, valuation and portfolio performance management.
  • Proven experience working with budgets, actuals, business cases, financial planning, project coordination and performance reporting.
  • High attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain a clear, commercial big-picture perspective.
  • Strong coordination and project management skills, with the ability to bring together multiple teams, disciplines and workstreams to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with confidence using AI and digital tools to improve analysis, efficiency and communication.
  • Proactive, self-starting and pragmatic, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, international environment.
  • Flexible and resilient, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage competing deadlines and maintain momentum across multiple initiatives.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience across multiple asset classes, sectors or investment structures would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in an international or matrixed organisation is desirable.
  • Valuation experience, including interaction with external advisors or stakeholders, would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to fundraising, financing, M&A, structuring or divestment activity would be a strong advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate credibly with a wide range of stakeholders across an international footprint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely to support timely, well-informed decision-making.

 • Degree/ Masters • CFA/ CIMA
