Job Description

The Alta Video cloud-based video security solution from Motorola Solutions has demonstrated several solid years of significant growth. We are expanding our Platform and Operations Team out of our Uxbridge office with an additional Senior Platform Engineer.

Alta Video injects real-time intelligence into security solutions, enabling organisations to see, understand, and act on their surroundings. We take pride in our diverse R&D environment—our department comprises 24 nationalities, and we actively cultivate a culture where every voice is heard and valued.

This role operates on a hybrid working model, combining remote flexibility with an aim for 2 days per week on-site in our Uxbridge office for collaborative design and team alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and scale our multi-cloud infrastructure across both R&D and production environments (Google Cloud Platform and AWS).

  • Drive day-to-day operation, reliability, and security of infrastructure using Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, and Bash.

  • Champion a security-first engineering mindset across all cloud and on-premises systems.

  • Apply chaos-engineering principles to continuously test, harden, and optimize system robustness.

  • Collaborate closely with software development squads to shape and elevate our unified security solution.

Basic Requirements
  • Demonstrated outstanding technical capability as a self-starter and analytical problem solver.

  • Deep infrastructure experience spanning Linux environments, AWS and/or GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Bash.

  • Commitment to Day-2 operational performance, testing, and system observability.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desirable & Bonus Skills

  • Experience developing cloud architectures across both GCP and AWS ecosystems.

  • Automation proficiency in high-level programming languages (Go, Python, or JavaScript).

  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipeline automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions or Jenkins).

What We Offer

  • Unique UK Benefit: Two weeks additional pay per year (Holiday Bonus scheme).

  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible hybrid working options and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.

  • Competitive Package: Market base salary, performance bonus, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).

  • Comprehensive Care: Private Medical Care, Life Assurance, Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Pay, and 24/7 EAP.

  • Growth & Purpose: Matched pension scheme, broad learning programs, carbon-neutral initiatives, and corporate volunteering days.
