Senior People Manager (18 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Bolton (with travel across UK offices as required)

This is an opportunity for an accomplished HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex people challenges and can quickly establish credibility with senior stakeholders. You'll provide leadership across the full employee lifecycle, support operational delivery, lead a small People team and ensure exceptional business partnering while our wider People function supports the implementation of a major global HR transformation programme.

No two weeks will look the same. You'll need to be comfortable balancing operational priorities with strategic initiatives, responding to changing business demands and making sound decisions with limited direction.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the delivery of high-quality People services across the business.
  • Partnering with senior leaders on organisational, people and commercial challenges.
  • Managing complex employee relations matters and organisational change.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the People team.
  • Driving continuous improvement across People processes and systems.
  • Supporting organisational design, workforce planning and business change.
  • Using people data and insight to influence decisions.
  • Leading and contributing to strategic People projects as priorities evolve.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced HR professional who can quickly build trust and make an immediate impact.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience operating at Senior HR Manager or Head of HR level.
  • Strong generalist HR expertise across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent employment law knowledge.
  • Proven experience managing organisational change.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Confidence working with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Experience leading and developing HR teams.
  • CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) preferred.

If you're someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and making a tangible difference from day one, we'd love to hear from you.
