Global Player allows listeners to enjoy all of Global’s radio brands, award-winning podcasts, and expertly curated playlists, in one place in app, on web, on TV, in car and on smart speakers.

As Senior Paid Social Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of paid social and conversion campaigns to support the growth of Global’s radio brands and subscriptions products across app and audio.

This is a hands-on marketing role for someone with a solid understanding of all aspects of paid social, from briefing campaign creative and overseeing production of assets, to campaign planning, execution, optimisation and reporting. We’re looking for a commercially savvy marketer with an understanding of ROAS and performance marketing.

You’ll work closely with Global’s Marketing, Digital, Broadcasting & Content, Acquisitions, Product, Subscriptions and Lifecycle Marketing teams, you will contribute to the strategy and execution for converting users into paid subscribers, with a focus on compelling paid social and conversion campaigns.

You’ll own campaign and creative briefing end-to-end, while helping build tracking, attribution and reporting frameworks to optimise performance and subscriber growth.

Your Role: Senior Paid Social Marketing Executive

This 12-month fixed-term role will lead paid social and conversion campaigns that grow Global’s radio brands and subscription products across app and audio. You’ll combine strong creative judgement with hands-on campaign delivery, optimisation and reporting to help turn engaged audiences into subscribers.

As a Senior Paid Social Marketing Executive at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Paid social campaign delivery (35%): Lead the day-to-day delivery of conversion-led paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, retargeting and lookalike activity. Manage campaign set-up, approvals, timelines and channel-specific execution, ensuring activity complements owned channels and in-platform touchpoints.

  • Creative briefing and production (25%): Own creative briefing for subscription and acquisition campaigns from ideation to final delivery. Work with Design, Video and other creative teams to produce clear, relevant assets that reflect the proposition, audience, brand and platform requirements.

  • Cross-functional campaign planning (20%): Partner with Subscriptions, Acquisitions, Product, CRM, Broadcasting & Content, Commercial and Lifecycle Marketing teams to turn offers and content moments into compelling campaigns. Help define audience segments, messaging and channel plans.

  • Performance, insight and optimisation (20%): Monitor campaign performance and subscription marketing metrics across app, web and podcast activity. Support tracking and attribution, use insight to improve creative and campaign effectiveness, and share clear reporting and recommendations with stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built strong relationships with key teams and stakeholders across the business.

  • Developed a strong understanding of Global Player, Global’s brands and the subscription proposition.

  • Taken ownership of creative briefing, campaign planning, delivery, reporting and optimisation.

  • Delivered subscription marketing campaigns across key products.

  • Introduced useful structure and insight to testing, reporting and optimisation.

What You’ll Need

  • Paid social expertise: Experience delivering paid social campaigns, with a strong understanding of conversion activity and how it complements lifecycle marketing.

  • Platform knowledge: Hands-on experience of Meta and YouTube; experience of Snapchat or Reddit would be beneficial.

  • Creative judgement: A strong eye for effective paid social creative, with experience writing briefs and overseeing asset production from start to finish.

  • Performance mindset: Confidence using data to track performance, identify optimisation opportunities and understand measures such as return on ad spend.

  • Tracking and analytics: Experience implementing or supporting campaign tracking and reporting, ideally using tools such as AppsFlyer, Google Analytics or similar platforms.

  • Organisation and collaboration: The ability to manage multiple workstreams, communicate clearly and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Additional experience: Familiarity with app-based conversion journeys, creative testing, AI tools, Braze, RevenueCat, Amplitude, Google Ads or Apple Search Ads would be beneficial.

  • Audience passion: An interest in podcasts, radio and the evolving audio landscape.
