About the role

At Livewire, we build innovative, effective and scalable gaming media campaigns for the world’s leading brands. As a Senior Media Strategist within the Labs team, you will play a key role in shaping audience-first gaming media strategies that connect brands with gaming audiences across platforms, creators, communities and immersive gaming environments.

Leveraging tools such as Gamer.AI, GWI and Livewire’s proprietary Gamer.ID audience intelligence platform, you will identify the most effective audience and media opportunities for each brief across video, creator ecosystems, gamified media and owned gaming environments. You will help brands activate gaming audiences across platforms, devices and media environments through Gamer.ID.

This role requires a strong understanding of gaming culture, audience behaviour, digital media planning, gaming-native media and campaign optimisation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Ad Ops, Research & Insights, Partnerships and Strategy teams to ensure campaigns are strategically sound, operationally executable and performance-driven. The role will help translate gameplay behaviour and audience intelligence into modern media planning strategies for global brands and agencies. You will also help educate clients and internal stakeholders on gaming audiences, behavioural targeting, and emerging opportunities across the gaming media ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, strategically curious and deeply passionate about media innovation, particularly in a gaming context. They should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple RFPs simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.

What you'll do

  • Develop strategic responses to media RFPs in partnership with Sales and Strategy teams.
  • Build integrated audience and media recommendations using insights from Gamer.AI, GWI, proprietary Gamer.ID gameplay behavioural audiences and additional research sources.
  • Develop audience sequencing strategies across gaming, social, video and immersive environments to maximise engagement and campaign effectiveness.
  • Identify and recommend the most effective media formats, audience strategies and platform opportunities based on client objectives and audience behaviour.
  • Develop media strategies spanning display, video, livestream, VOD, creator amplification, gamified media, high-impact, shoppable formats and Owned Gaming Environments.
  • Collaborate with Ad Ops teams to ensure campaigns are operationally feasible and optimised for performance delivery.
  • Work closely with Research & Insights teams to develop effectiveness frameworks, brand lift studies and post-campaign reporting.
  • Translate gameplay behaviour, audience intelligence and platform opportunities into clear, actionable media planning recommendations and compelling client-facing narratives.
  • Support campaign scoping and planning to ensure proposals align with Livewire’s commercial objectives and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships teams on media integrations involving external publishers, platforms and technology partners.
  • Ensure all campaign recommendations comply with platform policies, media owner guidelines and gaming ecosystem best practices.
  • Contribute proactive strategic opportunities and media innovations outside of active RFP cycles.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of emerging gaming trends, audience behaviours, creator ecosystems, media technologies and platform innovations.
  • Participate in internal RFP reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of strategic processes and media outputs.
  • Present media strategies confidently to internal stakeholders, agencies and clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication across Asana, Slack and project workflows.
  • Champion Livewire’s gaming media and Gamer.ID audience proposition within the UK market, helping educate agencies and brands on gaming audiences, behavioural targeting and cross-platform gaming media strategies.
