Senior Marketing Manager

Location: UK, with occasional commute to the office/events

Department: Marketing

Employment Type: Permanent

About YLD:

Our goal is to help our clients keep moving forward. We work with them to build the skills and capabilities they need to stay ahead of the competition, and we know our success only happens when they succeed. We’re a team of curious, talented people, and we’re committed to making YLD a place where great people want to work, grow, and stay.

We’re a remote-first consultancy specialising in software engineering, product design, and data. Our teams are based across London, Lisbon, and Porto, and we create digital solutions that continue to deliver value long after our work is done.

About the role:
YLD is investing in marketing as a key driver of growth, reputation, and talent attraction. As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping this function.

This is not a “maintenance” role. You’ll be expected to bring structure, clarity, and strategy — while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver campaigns, content, and events. You’ll provide leadership and direction to our existing team, and act as the bridge between Marketing, Sales, and Client Services.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will look like this:
  • Own the marketing strategy and execution across brand, demand generation, events, product marketing, and content.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the existing marketing team.
  • Partner with the Sales team, with direct responsibility for enabling the team to deliver against their revenue targets
  • Ensure operational excellence, managing budgets, measuring impact, and maintaining accurate data and processes in HubSpot. Note that there is no in-house demand generation expertise, so you will need to have hands-on HubSpot knowledge.
  • Build integrated inbound and outbound marketing campaigns across priority verticals (e.g. fintech, retail, media).
  • Partner closely with Sales/Commercial to create effective collateral (case studies, decks, campaigns, events).
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of high-quality case studies and thought leadership content.
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure ROI on marketing activity.
  • Manage YLD’s digital presence (website, social, email marketing) and optimise for performance.
  • Plan and execute events and community initiatives that raise YLD’s brand profile.
  • Oversee employer brand and recruitment marketing to support People team needs.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
  • 5+ years’ B2B marketing experience, ideally within consulting, SaaS, or digital services.
  • Track record of building or professionalising a marketing function in a scale-up or consultancy environment.
  • Expert in marketing automation tools and CRMs (HubSpot strongly preferred).
  • Comfortable balancing strategy and execution - able to both design the plan and deliver it.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to guide a small team and grow their capabilities.
  • Experienced in creating inbound and outbound campaigns that deliver measurable pipeline.
  • Skilled in content creation and storytelling, able to distill technical capabilities into compelling narratives.
  • Commercially minded
  • AI enthusiast
You should apply if you are:
  • Self-motivated, proactive and always looking for ways to improve and develop yourself
  • A good communicator, both in writing and verbally. You’ll be able to explain technical ideas and concepts in business-friendly language
  • Detail oriented
  • Problem-solving skills that balance innovation with pragmatic technology choices to solve business needs
  • Used to working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving oriented
  • A genuine believer in diversity and fairness
  • Legally able to live and work in the UK

Our typical Recruitment Process looks like this:

  • 1st Interview with someone from the Talent team (30/45 mins)
  • 2nd Interview with our COO and Senior Consultant (45 mins)
  • 3rd Panel Interview with our Leadership team (1h30)
  • Final call to meet the team (30/45 mins)

Benefits you'll get:

  • Company Private Health care
  • Enhanced fully paid maternity and paternity leave for up to 6 months
  • Company’s Pension Scheme
  • 25 days annual holiday (excluding Public Holidays)
  • £2000 annual allowance for Training/Conferences
  • £300 annual allowance for additional hardware
  • Mental Health support: access to Oli app
  • Meditation/Sleep support: Headspace or Calm app subscription
  • Bonus (depending on Company performance and results)
  • Company laptop
  • Generous referral schemes

We live and breathe our values, and know you will too:

  • Growing every day
  • Including everyone
  • Relationships built on honesty and ethics
  • Inspiring solutions
  • Winning together

We’re an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity in all its forms. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy or maternity, age, marital status, or disability. We also offer a remote-first working environment, with flexible working and work–life balance as standard for all employees.

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
