The Opportunity:

Perk is a comprehensive Travel & Spend management platform that is evolving with market needs. PMM is a strategic engine ensuring our product and revenue teams are always one step ahead of the competition.

This is a dual-impact role. You will spend 50% of your time as our Competitive & Market Intelligence Lead, turning market signals into "battle-ready" insights. The other 50% will be spent embedded in 3-5 high-impact Product Squads, ensuring that the products we build are perfectly aligned with the value the market demands.

What you’ll do

1. Strategic Market & Competitive Intelligence (50%)

  • The "Battle-Ready" Point of View: You won't just track competitors; you will synthesize market signals into clear guidance on how Perk wins. You’ll maintain actionable, seller-ready competitive documentation (utilizing AI tools like Klue, Gong or Notion AI) for our top global and regional rivals.

  • Revenue Enablement & Tactical Playbooks: Partner with Sales Enablement to empower our revenue teams with objection handling, competitive positioning, and deal-specific playbooks. You will lead competitive deal clinics to help sellers decode prospect signals and execute on a playbook that helps win in complex deals.

  • Objection Handling & Win/Loss Synthesis: Own the ongoing documentation of top competitive objections with approved, field-tested responses. Translate win/loss patterns and Gong insights into clear commercial actions that improve competitive win rate.

  • Proactive Intelligence Engine: Lead the shift from reactive battlecards to a proactive, AI-enabled intelligence system. Evaluate and implement the right competitive intelligence tooling to automate signal capture, synthesis, and distribution across Revenue.

  • Deep-Dive Market POVs: Every 6 months, you will deliver a comprehensive analysis of our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and Market Fit Map, that clarifies where we win, where we lose, and where we should not play. You will use this to refine targeting, and sales narratives in priority segments. You will own the "Voice of the Market," feeding structured signals into Product leadership to influence the long-term roadmap.

  • Market Share Analysis: You will conduct regular product-market fit reviews and market share analysis to identify whitespace and "right to win opportunities globally. You will feed insights into roadmap planning, with a clear commercial lens on revenue impact.

2. Product GTM & Squad Alignment (50%)

  • Full-Cycle GTM Ownership: You will be the PMM lead for 5 dedicated product squads, managing global releases end-to-end.. You’ll operationalise a tiered launch framework, ensuring every priority release meets a clear GTM standard and is predictable, well-understood, and easy to sell.

  • Positioning & Messaging: You will craft compelling, commercially grounded positioning that answers the “so what?” for our ICP and aligns with Perk’s broader Travel & Spend narrative. Your work will connect product value directly to pipeline creation, deal progression, and feature adoption.

  • Revenue-Ready Enablement: You will translate launches into field-ready messaging, objection handling, and business cases that equip sellers to win CFO-level conversations. Materials will be simple, consistent, and embedded into the sales workflow.

  • Adoption & Impact Accountability: You won’t stop at launch. You’ll partner with Product Ops and Revenue to track adoption, identify friction, and refine messaging and positioning where features are not sticking

What we're looking for:

  • Strategic Maturity: 5–7 years in B2B SaaS Product Marketing. You don't just execute; you influence. You have a proven track record of using intelligence to change a sales narrative or pivot a product roadmap.

  • The "Researcher" Mindset: You are naturally curious and tech-savvy. You are eager to leverage AI to automate competitive tracking and data synthesis.

  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: You are comfortable challenging Product Managers and Sales VPs. You can say "no" to a low-impact launch to protect the "so what" for the customer.

  • Analytical Prowess: You are comfortable in Looker and Excel. You don't just report on adoption; you investigate why features aren't sticking and propose the strategic fix.

Operational Rigor: You are organized enough to manage the communication overhead of 5 different squads without letting the quality of the narrative slip.

At Perk, we take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such, this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs.
