The Difference You will Make:

As a Senior Market Manager, you will be responsible for managing Luxe host accounts and supply acquisition of high quality inventory in EMEA, primarily in the UK & Northern Europe. Focusing on these responsibilities, you will build Airbnb Luxe’s market presence in your assigned regions in collaboration with other Airbnb teams as the market expert. As someone who knows the Airbnb mission and values inside out, you will proactively support new and existing Luxe hosts to drive account optimization, acquisition, and growth. You will also work closely with Luxe Guest Services and Luxe Content & Quality teams, as well as cross functional teams to drive outputs.

A Typical Day: 

Source and build best-in-class partnerships with the luxury hosts and top-connected individuals in EMEA for access to the most elite, exclusive, luxury homes in the region.

  • Prospect new potential hosts through external research, networking, and partnerships with luxury homes & real estate professionals.
  • Expertly position and communicate Airbnb Luxe’s value proposition to new partners via phone, email, and in-person
  • Add net new hosts by qualifying and moving leads through the funnel as quickly as possible, achieving defined quarterly goals. Provide fully qualified hosts and listings to the onboarding team.
  • Find supply in and launch new markets: Own market launches including supporting lead generation and coordinating cross functionally with home quality, guest services, and other teams.
  • Coordinate with broader Supply team to build on-platform Airbnb Luxe inventory through hosts & connectors
  • Support onboarding of all listings for assigned hosts

Build and manage partner relationships within assigned territory

  • Hold regular optimization calls and business reviews with hosts to understand challenges and identify opportunities to optimize region; provide data-driven insights and take actions to support hosts to meet and exceed quarterly/annual goals
  • Create and deploy scaled strategies to effectively manage & optimize long-tail Luxe Hosts in your region
  • Educate hosts on all significant product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software partners so that you can provide the right support to your clients
  • Develop strong and long lasting partnerships to ensure long term market success

Drive actions that propel business objectives and Luxe host success

  • Autonomously define growth opportunities across existing and new hosts and independently develop data-driven action plans
  • Serve as the luxury expert at Airbnb, working with internal stakeholders and external partners to grow the Airbnb Luxe business in EMEA.
  • Prioritize a Host-centric approach to ensure we deliver on the Airbnb brand promises and highlight the opportunities that Airbnb brings as a platform.
  • Exhibit entrepreneurial spirit by embracing critical questioning, innovation, service and continuous improvement, while quickly adapting to changes in the business environment.
  • Deliver clear written and verbal communication. Proactively think about stakeholders’ informational needs; prepare and deliver content in format(s) that are clear and informative.

Market analysis and trends

  • Understand desirable vs undesirable neighborhoods, pricing trends, home types and design themes, competitors, etc.
  • Understand market dynamics and develop localized pitches for the right homes
  • Leverage internal data & external insights to drive decision-making as well as influence hosts toward optimal performance

Your Expertise:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with sales and account management background as well as an understanding of strategic partnerships and/or marketing and operational experience
  • Experience working in luxury travel or real estate, in a capacity where you had to work cross-functionally and across diverse teams to influence change
  • Strong knowledge of luxury homes and hospitality landscape
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to effectively influence top leaders internally and externally within the industry
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding defined goals
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organizational skills, in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-changing startup environment
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Fluent in English

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
